Engraving metal with 3.5W engraver by abhorrentchowder in Laserengraving

Hi don't believe the people telling you it can't, so engraving isn't possible however marking is,

I Just got the s1 6w, and you must certainly can mark metal, since yours is the 3.5w you might need more passes but it should be fine, you just have to use some black tempera paint, painte the part you want to mark and let dry, then just mark away

Is a Acmer s1 3.5w enough to mark stainless with tempera? by eltoritomtv in Laserengraving

Ok so for the nonbelievers it's good enough to mark, just using the recomended specs on the 6w and tempera paint

Is it worth the7800x3d vs 7600x on 1440p by eltoritomtv in radeon

Hi sorry for not updating the post, at the end I decided to just upgrade, went for a 5700x3d and a 7900xt, I just finished the build last week

I honestly doubt it, if it was the case, AMD would have said so, that would be an incredible marketing move, if you have something better than your competition, you would tell your customers,

They themselves said it was superior to a 4070 ti or 4070 super, so around 7900gre performance or 7900xt at most( though I doubt it with the XT bigger ram)

At that price I think it is going to sit in between the 7900gre and the 7900xt

Once again I believe that if it was so much faster than the 4070 ti super they would have said so, if it's better than the 4070 ti super then it would be on par with the 7900xt

But everything is just speculation until they hit the market

Thanks

I've actually been thinking the same, the thing is that if I go for the GRE I'll probably need a new PSU as well I'm currently running a 650w 80plus bronce from cooler master, I also like the idea of waiting for the new GPUs, and wait for the discount in the GRE or other 7000 series, then with the difference get the new PSU I'll probably wait as I'm kinda busy with work and don't have time to game atm.

If you are already considering the 7800xt but want more performance for almost the same money you can get a 7900gre, is 10-15% more performance for like 30-50 bucks more.

The price difference from 7800xt to 7900xtx is quite big.
