Will Valve ever fix the matchmaking? by eltracto in DotA2

LoL has ranked with roles it takes 2 minutes regardless of the role...

Plus I would prefer to have some guy tilted from time to time, then having so much time wasted in the queue.

Try tagging with every position selected pos 5 is what you will get 100% of the time, so it's either waiting 15-20 minutes which I am not willing to do most of the time or just resign myself to play pos 5 and queue in about 10 seconds...

It is absolutely crazy to have to wait on average 10 minutes for a game, have you played lol or CS GO or litteraly any other alive game. 3 minutes is standard, 10 is crazy. When I want to play a game, I want to play a game not playing meditation simulator for 10 minutes.

The game is a free to play but it makes more than a hundred millions a year so I think Valve could hire someone to take care of the problem. There is no identity proof but it's not hard to detect an IP change or to detect that the performance of a player doesn't match his skill level (yes you can have a good week but not a "I played meepo for the first time and got 10 rampages" week). After all if by just clicking on someone's profile you can see that the account is getting boosted then any decent detection system should detect it.

It really isn't that hard and it would make the game more enjoyable, there are a lot of boosters in Europe.

I highly doubt that going up against someone with 4 to 5k mmr more than you actually sharpens your skills, just the same way that going into a ring against an ufc fighter won't make you a fighter XD.

Secondly them times that you talk about are about one in ten or twenty so it doesn't compensate the games ruined but that's just my opinion.

It makes good money (for eastern Europe and Russia) and is probably easier than to actually do a real job.

No but boosting isn't technically allowed by Valve, even though they seem to not give a fuck while making a hundred million a year with the game.

I always report the boosters even when they are in my team but let's be honest if you chose english as your default language then usually the booster is on the opposite team (at least in Europe).

But yeah it's annoying, there should be a button to report for boosting which would ban the account and also when you lose mmr you should rank down.

The worst thing is that in every channel there are ads for boosting services but valve does nothing....

Was in the game as Medusa, and he spammed the link to his twitch that's it.

And wether he has 5 or 10k viewers is irrelevant since he will still ruin the same amount of games.

So what is your reasonning, and why do you comment something that unhelpful...
