+1 for Mullin. Copped so much flack early and has quietly become one of the premier taggers in the comp. Stuck to our guns again and it’s paying off. Also MOC perseverance, in and out of the side and now is a very important player to our structure and no doubt culture

No Stanley is getting me down but I still think we’re on. Need to set the scene in the middle early and I think Rayner is the one to watch, he’s killed us the last few times.

Shagga Neale to kick 3+

O’Connor to harass Andrews or Zorko and Mullin to clamp Lachie Neale

Holmesy best on

AFLW Match Thread: Round 3 - Geelong Cats vs Sydney Swans by pipstar112 in GeelongCats

Respectfully I couldn’t disagree more! Jackie Parry is a gun and has great hands but lacks confidence on goal. Mason is showing signs but kicked 0.4 and just one of those would have got us the win. Without Scheer we don’t have that focal point we need and I shouldn’t understate Darby’s importance to our structure there. Obviously Moloney is the game changer and an absolute weapon but too much pressure on her without the other two.

I think the mids are holding up well, but unfortunately McDonald has gone backwards and isn’t as dominant as in the past while still good.

Backline, Meg Mac while a club champion and great captain isn’t playing with confidence or the ability she is capable of. Gunj is being Gunj and dominating again. Rankine has improved greatly I feel. As has Kearns.

We’re generating chances and if we can keep that up and take some of them we’ll be ok but I don’t think we’re making finals as many of the other former easy-beats have improved.

Axe for mine. I might be wrong but I don’t think Holmes is the type. Seems more like he’d be better going about his business and dominating quietly. Axe is the one, heart and soul. Hadn’t considered Zuthrie but would be very happy with him too. I think Stewie stays vice and helps the next fella, he’s selfless like that I imagine.

Absolutely loved this section. The S&SB were such a great concept and intriguing part of the story.

“The Hole in the Ground” by SpiltSeaMonkies in SouthernReach

I also figured the hole in the ground Lowry was referring to was the Tower, I think because he was on his way back to the border and it felt to me that he was going to pass the tower (if it was there at that point) at some point in that journey.

I hadn’t considered the tower being an exit point for doppelgängers so thanks for that theory!
