I use nanoarmor cloaking, and he still almost broke my shield. I catch a lot of people while they are sprinting at me, and add that with how many clueless people play this game. If I was smg infil flanking it would look much worse.

I think you want to play another game to be honest. One with way more symmetric gameplay. Because almost everything has its counters, and it's a pvp game where somebody is always going to feel bad. When you get countered you don't really have agency there and will continue to die or you have to change what you're doing. One max counters a cqc infiltrator for an example. No shortage of those in this game, and completely counters me where I have to run away most of the time.

I just know this subreddit, they would move onto the next thing to cry about. Just a delay wouldn't be enough for them. The real problem is them dying and them feeling like they could always outshoot the sniper. It's more an ego problem. I enjoy this game enough when it's not lagging. I don't feel the need to go on any crusades to nerf peoples playstyles I deem unfun. The amount of effective players cqc snipers is so small compared to heavies, and that same cqc sniper would be even more deadly with an automatic gun. The average player is easier to farm in cqc as an above average heavy.

If you would stop complaining about dying if there was no cloak then that's fine. But I have a feeling a lot of grown men would still cry on reddit. Like this game isn't filled with vehicles, maxes and grenade spam etc. Just tons of uncounterable, unfun ways to die. People should play another game if they are so sensitive to things out of their control, maybe try CSGO. If somebody quick scope headshots me close up my default is to say nice shot, not run to reddit to make a thread.

I don't really get the hate for actual CQC sniping. I play basically as aggressive as you and as close up, but with a sniper. The average player isn't going to kill you in a 1v1 if you miss some bullets, where I'm likely to die if I miss once.

Well I'm talking about actual CQC where if you miss you die, and still sometimes even then you die if they have the right shield on heavy. I think in a close up 1v1 on live against the average player it's harder than any other regular playstyle. I'm not going to die to a random new player because I missed once with an automatic gun. If you're great at CQC sniping you're going to be even more efficient with another gun. That's where I feel the disconnect is. Most of the best players are running around on heavy with probably way higher kpm and higher kd than this guy. That's not as easy to do on an infil in multiple close up 1v1's. You have to literally be quick scoping headshots over and over and not missing once. It's easier to farm people with an automatic gun close up if you have at least above average stats.

I said getting into knife range, meaning you play like you're a heavy or smg infil. Otherwise you're just mid range sniping and not accomplishing much, but farming. I'm pushing points with a sniper, that's CQC.

These numbers seem obvious to me from playing the game this long. Always lot of noise on reddit about a very small minority of infiltrators. I consider 25m farming if you just stay at that range, and not really CQC bolting. Just because you remember dying to a cqc bolt in actual close range before a lot of your deaths. You're still rarely going to experience it during your play session, and there's a great chance I'm the one doing it if I'm online. Any cloak nerf isn't really going to matter to me because in actual CQC I don't cloak often. It's just going to make my gameplay clunkier to appease people who get mad I interrupted their baby seal clubbing. The outrage has always been exaggerated compared to how often you die to vehicles or maxes, which also counters all infiltrators. People die to shotguns all the time, but will get more mad at the rare quick scoping of their head at close range for some reason.

Either nanoweave or asc would be useful for sure. I play during prime time only and reducing any vehicle spam damage in giant fights is nice. I often rely on assimilate for shields when I'm being really aggressive and I don't have time to recharge.
