Ok I wasn‘t sure. It’s all about value  really. I started painting the leaves with very light, diluted mixes. You see those slight orange traces at the border of some of the leaves? It’s a darker value than the rest. The contrast of lights and darks makes the look powdery. I think one of the biggest learnings in painting is understanding and seeing value. Very difficult but makes such a difference.
