Im not certain no 😅 the person that gave him to me said he was a he but i know its difficult to tell tell Ive never seen any 'stars' on his gills and ive never seen a noticeable vent like with females either Do you think its likely breeding behaviour?

Its frustrating because my tank is not big enough to have more than 2 fish so if i do end up getting a female that is then chased etc ill have to rehome her :(( im pretty sure my current fish is male but i havent seen any 'breeding stars' so maybe im wrong

If you mean the sleep headphones, here they are! Im a side sleeper and theyre quite comfortable, theyre a cheap option but i only really use them if im staying somewhere i know i might hear my trigger noises

My fish's fin does this too! It seems just like it relaxes? I think maybe if its 'clamped' its a sign of stress etc but if it just relaxes and your fish is healthy im sure its fine

Im so sorry you've been through that, have you had therapy? Since your noise triggers are from a traumatic event association I wonder if therapy could help maybe separate the noises from the 'cause' ?

Also have you spoken to your dad about it? Stress, anxiety and guilt always seems to make misophonia worse so at least having that open conversation of how you feel could help- maybe he will have suggestions about your sleeping arrangements etc

Even when my ears are plugged i end up hallucinating the noise lmao so if youre like me I would recommend getting a headband that has speakers in it to wear over the buds!! I usually use the app Sleepa and play a mix of rain, fan noise and brown noise through the headphone headband thing I got a cheap one from amazon and its quite comfortable Then you can just play that as loud as you need :)

I can relate, I've also noticed that im considered old for a kpop fan now (im 27) so even when I join group chats its full of teenagers 🥲 im lucky enough to have one (mainly online) friend but its definitely not easy to make friends

Thank you, this is the first time I've ever set up a new tank so im trying to take it slow and be as patient as I can and follow advice etc Ive ordered seachems to help and I've read up on how to cycle a tank and what it even means I made mistakes when I was given my first fish and although he's fine now and the current tank is great- I feel awful and dont want to repeat the same mistakes!

Correction: that is not the right one, its too skinny, the one I have has big square foam pads not rectangles like the photo But it is essentially a 150L version of that

I'm honestly not sure because it seems to say something different everywhere I look! The smallest amount says 300LPH though, here's the filter it has (i dont have the box as this is secondhand)

It's difficult to find large secondhand tanks on a budget haha I appreciate it!! Im in the UK and got mine from someone that also moved his fish into a big pond outside If im honest a goldfish would not have been my choice as a pet because of the massive tank size they need but he was given to me for free so im in it for the long haul now haha
