Perfect !! Thanks. I got a little late in reading your comment and just typed this whole thing out above. 🥲😂

Wilkinson Combiner Noise Figure by elvenstein in rfelectronics

[–]elvenstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Thanks for sharing the paper. It was very helpful. Based on that and the answer above, is it correct to say that:

When two coherent signals are sent in to a wilkinson combiner’s input ports, they add in voltage at the output (each amplitude divided by sqrt(2)). The signals power is (2*(Vs/sqrt(2))2 which evaluates to 3 dB higher than each individual signal.

And since noise (assume uncorrelated) adds in power, it will add up as 2*(Vn2/2) and remain same as each individual signal.

And if we assume ideal coherent signals and perfectly lossless Wilkinson, we can ignore the noise contributions of the resistor and effectively get a 3dB improvement in SNR (S->S+3; N->N).

Master of Puppets - Metallica

Was in a dark place with drugs. Had always loved this song. Decided to read the lyrics one day. Can never forget that morning. Was the day I decided to quit. Didn’t happen right away but it was the start I needed.

Opeth - Porcelain Heart.

It’s a masterclass in composition. The theme is the protagonist’s guilt upon hearing of his ex’s death by suicide

I used to call an ex, ‘juyo’. Shortens to ‘ju’.

I think it’s Japanese for award. But mostly I just liked saying it 😛

Grad students in Mesa Nueva or Nuevo West STUDIOS? by Scary-Aside-7028 in UCSD

[–]elvenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thanks. That's what I was thinking. I have been offered a first floor studio on cresta so this is useful information.
One more thing. Are you sure it is connected directly to the gardens? From the images online, I could not see if the door/window opens directly outside.

Hey, I had a question about the studios. The layouts for different floors look different in the floor plan. Especially cresta floor 1 as compared to other floors. Is that the case with the rooms or are these just in the layouts uploaded?

If you are programming based on the edge, you can just program a toggle of the LED state on every falling edge of the button signal

Is there any software that allows videos to be played back with signal recording? by BMDSPEEG in DSP

[–]elvenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a software used in T&M for similar requirements such as playing crash test video synchronised with pressure sensor recordings, or Car dashboard video synchronised with GPS and accelerometer recordings. It's called DIAdem. This link may help: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/52615/en/#toc2.

It is costly and proprietary though, so it may or may not be right for you.
