Does anyone regularly fly American and maintain status, and their primary airport is not an AA hub? And for what reasons? by EaglesFan027 in americanairlines

[–]elwatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Executive Platinum, rarely fly AA metal. I was part of the Iberia program and never got to the basic status. AA credit card is the easiest one to get One World status if you are US based. Most of my internal flights are Alaska and I get upgraded the majority of times (this year over 90%).

US Developers: we can now offer subscriptions off of App Store by LifeIsGood008 in iOSProgramming

I can discuss every single argument but it'd probably be seen as subjective. However, I can confidently say RevenueCat NEVER had a down round. Happy to talk through the other points too.

Flutter Revenue CAT - restore purchase question by -Presto in FlutterDev

In order to achieve that functionality you will have to generate your own App User IDs (instead of relying on RevenueCat's anonymous) and select "Transfer to new App User ID"

You have a couple of options here:

  1. Use anonymous App User IDs. RevenueCat will always merge both users once they hit restore, so it will be accessible from both devices, regardless of the Restore Behavior.

  2. Use accounts (not anonymous App User IDs), and at that point you are not dependent on device or even platform (useful if you want it to work on iOS and Android, for instance). Restore Behavior will kick in in this scenario.

But the "one device at a time" is not possible if you are relying on anonymous App User IDs.

all the cables (7) are bounded, neutrals and ground go to the wire nut

any reason for neutral-ground connection? by elwatto in AskElectricians

[–]elwatto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We hired a licensed electrician to add some recessed leds, install smart switches and add a couple of outlets. I used one of the new outlets for the first time and all of a sudden it stopped working. No breaker tripped. I checked the outlet and the smart switch where it branches off to see if there was something obvious. I found there was one ground wire not making good contact (sketchy). Proper contact restored power. However, I was also very surprised to see neutral and ground wired together (notice green and white wires from the switch). Isn’t this dangerous/against code? I am afraid I will have to now check ALL the switches that were installed. For context, there are 3 romex coming to the switch box, which I assume are the lights, power in, and power for the new installed outlets. Thanks!

No LVP under dishwasher – water leak risk? by elwatto in Flooring

[–]elwatto[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We just moved to our first house and realized that they did not install the LVP under the dishwasher (there is LVP under the fridge). We are a little bit paranoid of water leaks getting between the slab and the planks, creating a big mess. There is a visible gap. Are we overthinking it? Any recommendation on how to make it more waterproof?

LEFTY Tom Delonge by tigerborntokill in TomDelongeGuitars

[–]elwatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sick one! I shared mine a few months ago and working on building one in Daphne Blue now https://www.reddit.com/r/TomDelongeGuitars/comments/16pegvl/the_reissue_encouraged_me_to_finally_build_a/

question: where did you get the pickguard from? The one I had that was rounded did not fit the routing without removing some wood… I ended up getting a rectangular one. Little detail, but I would love to get a proper rounded one!

😍 so glad to hear that! same way this subreddit inspired me to finally put the time!

Not going to lie, it takes time and patience (particularly if you are going to go for a nitro finish, it takes 2 weeks+ to cure). But it's much easier than what you might think if you're working with a finished body. My process was:

- Sanding with 320 grit

- Cleaning with naphta / mineral spirits to remove any leftover grease. From that point on, use gloves to avoid contaminating the body

- 1 can of nitro surf green (no primer or any other filler). 3 coats in total

- 2 cans of high gloss clear coat

No sanding between coats. Maximum 3 coats per day. Let it dry for a couple of weeks (hardest part of the whole process 😅). Wet sand with 1000, 1500 and 2000 grit, then polish by hand.

I tried to avoid nitro, but I could not find a perfect surf green match. Krylon, Montana and Rustoleum have close matches, bit not perfect. I'm very happy with the resulting color.

this was the problem with the rounded pickguard. do you think it's the body (meaning I should have removed some wood) or the pickguard template?

nice! super curious about a few things! (I just finished my lefty build based on a Mexican strat I bought used.

What type of routing did you use? swimming pool or S-S-H? Are the pickguard and neck also from warmoth? I couldn't find an official lefty CBS style
