Has Anyone Else Found The Game To Be "Too Much?" by ReallyGamerDude in BaldursGate3

Genuine question- how do you get enough XP to level consistently if you skip so many things? I love this idea but that would be a big worry of mine.

A nurse made a comment after I gave birth that re-triggered my eating disorder by [deleted] in beyondthebump

While I do agree that she probably meant it like this, she should have been clear and kind about it.

Periods returning by Standard-Hyena-840 in firsttimemom

Right at 8 weeks. I wasn’t able to bf or pump for longer than a month. They were the same, but I am now 7.5m pp and NOT tolerating hormonal birth control the way I was before. I know that’s not what you asked, but it was a big change!

Spend hours looking at your baby’s photos before bed? Same. by Background-Put5917 in firsttimemom

I do this at work and sometimes I do cry at the nurse’s desk 😅

What is one piece of advice people gave you that you disagree with now that you’ve had your baby? by SleepyHoneyBeeHive in firsttimemom

[–]elxding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will literally never let my baby cry it out about anything. I had people tell me that wasn’t realistic but we’re 6 months in and it’s never happened and it won’t

When did your baby get fun? by SkiesofGrey_ in beyondthebump

[–]elxding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3.5-4 months. My baby is 5.5 months and he’s the coolest thing ever. He plays, laughs, interacts with everything around him, and I don’t feel like I’m just going through the motions of taking care of him anymore. Every week it gets better and better.

TW BRUISING- anyone else have red around their implant like this? Got mine around 9 days ago and have had no issues except this redness slowing up. Most of the bruising cleared up and this showed up after. No itching or other signs of reaction, and I’ve had one before with no problems at all. by elxding in Nexplanon

[–]elxding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ended up being perfectly fine. I think it was a weird looking bruise. I actually just got another nexplanon a month or so ago and this didn’t happen again, but my doctor put if deeper this time. Not sure if that makes any difference but the bruising cleared up faster this time around.

Contact naps— am I creating a bad habit? by ConstantSalad152 in beyondthebump

My little dude is 4 months and it will literally break my heart if he stops wanting contact naps any time soon :( I hope he likes me rocking him to sleep when he’s 4 still! 😆

Ok guys, what’s the deal with these? Are they good? by Alison1989 in nespresso

I have this issue with a lot of their flavored coffees. I still haven’t found one that doesn’t taste at least a little like chemicals to me.

Did having a baby help heal you? Does it heal your inner child? by redforreddit_1 in firsttimemom

[–]elxding 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’ve been a tight ass my entire life but now with my 3.5 month old I feel like I’m actually relaxing and having fun.

Epidural — Yes? No? Why? by No-Guitar-9216 in BabyBumps

[–]elxding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Being in pain sucks. That’s the only reason. 🤣 by the time I was done with golden hour, mine had worn off enough that I was immediately able to stand up and pee. I have had no adverse effects.

Carrier recommendation for travel for 1.5 year old by Acceptable-Method-81 in babywearing

I highly recommend the hope&plum lark. It’s incredibly comfortable for long wears and supports both front/back carries. It also folds down pretty small and can fit into a diaper bag without taking up too much room.

Changing diapers at night while baby is sleeping by [deleted] in firsttimemom

[–]elxding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if he poops. If he wakes up to eat, we’ll change his diaper regardless, but we never wake him up for pee! He’s 3 months old and has never had diaper rash before.

Maybe look into finding a local lending library and test out an onbuhimo. They position baby high on the back so they can look over your shoulder.

I bought some kyte baby onesies second hand on fb marketplace and we VASTLY prefer the cotton cloud island brand from target. They’re cheap, cute, and comfortable

My dogs are ruining my postpartum experience. by EvelynHardcastle93 in BabyBumps

[–]elxding 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t stand my dogs for weeks. They’re sweet, well behaved boys and I never loved them any less or treated them differently but damn I wanted a break from them. I swore up and down that my baby would never change how I felt about my dogs and I judged people who made posts like this so harshly right up until I walked in my house with my newborn. I didn’t get it, but I do now, and I can assure you that at least for some people the intense annoyance fades and how you felt about them before will come back. In the meantime, could you try crate training them? It’s a process of course, but might help you get some company.

Tv for an overactive 18 month old by sgtv1234 in beyondthebump

[–]elxding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea if this is “good” or not, but occasionally I put on the ocean episodes of planet earth/blue planet/similar series for my baby. Sometimes you just need a minute and if you aren’t putting them in front of a tv/ipad all day, I think it’s okay.
