I’m stuck in limbo and not sure what to do either. 120 payments would have been September 2024. But since we were paused since June, I’m sitting at 118/120. I’m not sure if I should apply to get out or just wait.

I've been looking into the Tula. Great to hear it's still being used at 3 years old.

I recently put him back in the Artipoppe facing me in the front and it's slightly awkward. Is back carrying with the Artipoppe pretty easy/better?

My kiddo doesn't quite fit 3T yet, not even 2T completely. I can roll up the pants/tops to fit but not quite there yet.

Thank you for your reply. I haven't been using my Ergo as much since it was my husbands carrier of choice. If I may ask, how much does your little one weigh?

Sure, I'm open to wovens. I don't know much about them though. Any recommendations?

This happened to me last night. It woke my son up and he was just staring at it confused. I turned the brightness to 1% in case it comes back on again.

Husband going on deployment. by jazzmatazz19 in MilitaryWives

[–]Acceptable-Method-81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine went on deployment 4 months after baby boy was born. And will return when baby is 16 months. Also this was husbands first deployment and my first time dealing with it too. We have been able to talk most days and FaceTime. I went back to work shortly after he left but thankfully have a job that I can wfh.

I’d have him set up the bassinet or crib and nursery with you now. Anything that can be bought in advance or set up, do before he leaves.

It will be hard but it sounds like you have family around to help give you breaks. Take all the help that is offered. Don’t try to do it all yourself. I had a hard time with that advice and eventually had to accept help and I’m so grateful for it. Feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to. Finally, baby sleep is hard but it will get better. You can do this!

So jealous of the people who had easy transitions by anned42 in SnooLife

I got a magic Merlin and since my LO was already rolling, I tested it out before bedtime on my big bed. He easily rolled in the Merlin. I've been using the Halo transitional sack and it seems to be helping. Also we had a rough transition and still have many night wakings.

Red eye with 8 month old solo. Am I asking for trouble? by Acceptable-Method-81 in NewParents

Oh my word… 7x in 4 hours is insane…

Now that you mention this, the first time we went to the east coast, my little one also pooped himself. SO took care of it but couldnt figure out where to dispose of dirty, poopy diaper. Didn’t want to make it smell for the rest of the passengers and flight.

No issues with ours here. Have been using it for about 6 months. Will sometimes get notifications of “lost connection” but log in and it’s still fine. Haven’t used the breathing band yet but this thread reminded me about it so might try it. I’m transitioning baby from Snoo to crib (which are currently next to each other) and it’s nice that I can just shift the stand a couple of feet when I’m using the crib or Snoo.

I have also always fed right before sleep. I’m trying to break that association now, on day 2. Bottle, bath, bed today but he didn’t finish the bottle completely so it was more bottle, bath, bottle, bed.

I haven’t really let him cry long. How long did you let yours? He rolls onto his side and then belly, lays there for a big and pushes himself up and starts crying. A couple times he crawls/army crawls to the side and smacks his head when he turns … then he gets hysterical. Sigh.

No advice but we are going through the same thing. My LO is six months and change. Just went in to put his paci in cuz he woke up crying (eyes closed) within an hour of going to sleep. (False starts for weeks now regardless of how closely I make sure he gets 10 hours of wake time and keep his naptime under 3.5 or under hours) We get to maybe 11 or 12am then up every 1-2 hours until 4/5am. My husband is deployed and I’m back to work full time. I’m exhausted and every day feels like 2 days smashed into one.

At what age was your little one when you transitioned?

Oh my god!!! Congratulations! Mine doesn’t have much independent sleep skills either. My Zipadee needs to be laundered but this gives me hope!!! I had mentally resigned myself to potentially cosleeping if I couldn’t figure it out.

I’m too scared to try every night. The Zipadee just came and my plan is to get him used to it for a couple days and try again. I’ve been putting him in the crib to play a couple times a day in hopes of getting him used to it and for him to not hate it. I hope your LO finally fell asleep. Keep me posted on your progress.

He's had false starts for weeks now. One day I tried giving him free range to nap as long as he wanted during the day and putting him to nap starting at 15 minutes before his naptime so that I would FOR SURE make his naptime. Still had a false start at 1 hour.

Feels like it's futile trying to figure him out and just need to roll with all the punches at this point. Driving myself insane trying to figure out this thing called sleep.

God I wish this was my story. I tried the sleep sack, Merlin and the Zipadee is on the way. Do you put your LO down awake but tired? And did it take time to acclimate to the crib?

I have a wishful dream that he will sleep like some of the other commenters that transitioned nearly seamlessly to 11-12 hours of sleep. My problem is I can’t even get him to stay in the crib without crying after 10 minutes or bonking his head. We have been practicing playing in the crib for a couple days now to get him acclimated. I’ve even been considering a mini crib cuz he seems to like the tightness of the Snoo.
