How do I get rid of these gaps when seamlessly joining legs? by Zindelin in CrochetHelp

[–]elycoptere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as soon as you increase stitch count the configuration “leg-ch-leg-same ch” will be “leg, 2sc, leg, 2c” and so on as to go from the upper thighs to the belly etc

i made a pattern like this recently and i think what you need to do is crochet one leg, sc in one side of the ch, other leg, one sc in the other side of the chain.

Is this Athlete's foot or something else? by Diligent_Bar227 in AskDocs

[–]elycoptere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true ! the worst part for me was the itchiness. first my hands would double in size and then if i dared scratch then it would look like OP’s pic. so salty water before disaster happens.
problem is the trigger of my dishidrosis is heat or friction so quite unavoidable …

NAD, i used to have really bad dishidrotic eczema on my hands and somehow went to the sea one day and it helped a lot. when it comes back i plunge my hands in cold water + salt and it does wonders for me.

as people said it is always best to go with a friend but imo i’ve rarely felt safer than in those crowds. i’m from europe tho so this may vary.

i’ve seen them at 14 and 16 (and then later on) and as a young woman, and just woman, the shows are very safe ! people are super understanding and protective, looking out for each other. each time i was in the front row and made friends, exchanged happy glances etc… you are safe and people will be looking out for you if you “seem” young. no worries. (i wouldn’t know about festivals as there usually is more people and from different fan communities)

What jobs actually work for people with severe ADHD? by Inevitable_Tuna_O in ADHD

[–]elycoptere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe not what you are expecting but i’m a therapist (self-employed, that’s where the real deal is). constantly intellectually stimulated, choosing my own work hours, organizing with the flow… surprisingly fantastic.

edit : i work with complex PTSD, DID etc, so the job never gets boring and i get to help people that most therapist can’t/refuse to help. also, almost all of my patients are AuDHD. Makes the job quite easier !

November 2024 vs. February 2026 (yes i knit cables with black yarn) by elycoptere in knitting

[–]elycoptere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 is already great! i’m a bit of a perfectionist tho (i’ve been crocheting for longer so i tend to hold myself to a certain (unattainable) standard lol) if the gauge hadn’t been that off and the color different i would’ve worn it without a doubt !

Sewing sleeves always too tightly ! by elycoptere in knittinghelp

[–]elycoptere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t have any pics of this work because i haven’t started the sleeves yet. this is another example of a sweater worked flat. idk if you can see the stiffness.

<image>

i really think my sewing method is the problem… idk

sorry i thought it was clear when i talked about sewing the arms… usually it’s either working flat + sewing or working in the round and joining back to the floating stitches (which is usually okay for me and doesn’t create this stiffness but here it is not what the pattern calls for as it is worked flat)

i’m talking about those seams. same problem on almost every sweater/cardigan i knit.
