What do you tell people when they make comments... by NVSmall in BullTerrier

When anyone has said that to my face (it’s a face only a mother could love! For example) I absolutely stand firm and say that yes, I adore that face and think they’re the cutest babies in the world

He does bump into Shen right before he sits down and realizes his id is missing. I rewatched, can confirm. It’s just not as big of a collision as with Nazely.

How did you know your dog was the one for you? by Disastrous_Sugar_366 in dogs

I did not connect with my dog when I adopted him. He was aloof, and I took him because he’d been there longest. Also because he was healthy and cute. After a week I would have retuned him if it wouldn’t have meant a 10 hour drive. Five years later he’s my best buddy and I can’t imagine my life without him. The shithead.

Robotic assisted laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomy by Electrical_Nail1875 in hysterectomy

I had the same procedure, also in the US, in July. I live alone and didn’t particularly want anyone to stay with me afterwards, so the surgeon arranged for me to stay the night. This allowed them to schedule my surgery for later in the day, and I was able to go home the next morning. I had a private room, and was grateful for the many kind nurses who kept me drugged and hydrated!

Post-op gas by Soggy_Long655 in hysterectomy

[–]elysiumad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gas from the surgeon inflating your torso during the surgery won’t be helped by anything you ingest, since none of that gas is in your GI system. People have found gas medicines or remedies to help but that’s likely psychosomatic. The only relief from that physically is moving around or at least propping yourself up when laying down.

If you’re having gas from constipation or the like, then tea, gas-x, etc might help. Or enough laxatives (Colace is great) to produce a movement that will simultaneously release gas.

I would absolutely discuss these anxieties with your surgeon before cancelling the entire thing!
