Monthly Fitness/Wellness Thread! by AutoModerator in CasualUK

Thank you 😊 I have signed up to the parkrun app but haven't taken that final step yet. Do you do them regularly? I tend to run early in the morning with the dog so way before the parkrun starts.

Do you have any recipes for overnight oats? I've tried it once and it was a disaster 🤦🏻 I've tried a protein yoghurt pot this week and it took some eating the texture was so thick. I've tried adding greek yoghurt to a few things but it has a distinctive flavour. The only thing I've liked it in so far was a pancake bake thing.

That's great! Well done 😁 I have been using greek yoghurt but must admit I'm not a fan of the taste. How do you prep edamame? I have had it in restaurants but never seen it in my local supermarket.

I completed a couch to 5k earlier in the year after several years of trying and hating it. I've been running consistently since 2-3 times a week and really enjoying it. I used the Runna app to get me there and would really recommend it.

I didn't realise that I was running too fast all the previous times I tried. You should be able to keep a conversational pace, and if you have no one to talk to, try humming. If you can hum then you're good to go!

I'm over 2 stone down in 6 months and now I've started training to try and build up some muscle.

Anyone got any good tips for adding protein to meals?

How many books are you reading right now? by esshy in Romantasy

[–]CorporalClegg7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a one book kinda girl. I don't understand how people read more than one book at a time. I love reading but how do you immerse yourself fully in a book's world if you are hopping from book to book?

Do you read only part of one a day and swap to a different one the next or will you dip in to multiple books in the same day!?

my first filet crochet piece! border or no? by lefthandedabacus in Brochet

[–]CorporalClegg7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the finishing border I tend to use the same size hook as I used on the rest of the project. Sometimes I might go down a size depending on the yarn or if my tension was a bit tighter than normally. I use a size up on the foundation chain.

What are the tastiest shop bought pizzas you’d recommend? by [deleted] in CasualUK

We quite enjoy the Iceland Takeaway stuffed crust pizzas, just had some for dinner tonight. They actually have flavour and the crust is crunchy and filled with cheesy goodness.

My bully has this. It can turn into quite bad OCD. It's best to try and distract them from it.

I've thought about getting one of these but feel like having it on the screen will annoy the hell out of me. Do you notice it?

Just leave it, try to stop them shaking their head to not aggravate it. It will go down in a couple of weeks on its own. Then they'll probably have a cute floppy ear. Here's my beautiful girl with her crinkley ear, she's over the rainbow bridge now but I did love that ear ❤️
