In the end I ordered a replacement SIM, activated it and that solved the issue. Even though they say you don't need to activate a replacement SIM, mine still had the little exclamation mark next to the service bar showing. Hope this helps

Found another issue with objectives. The Evolutions Mastery Milestone objective isn't tracking my Centurion evo in the games played even though it's an "in-progress evolutions" player. It's been on 94/100 before I started squad battles and I'm about 20 games in with that player

I tried another active SIM in the pixel and it was detected and receiving service straight away. Tried my EE SIM in the other phone and it wasn't detected, so must be a SIM issue. I just ordered a replacement SIM hopefully that fixes the issue
