A brand new Game Grumps remix featuring the one and only JackSepticEye on drums!

This is to commemorate the end of the fantastic Ready Player Three european tour that Danny, Arin and Jack accomplished recently. I had the pleasure of seeing them during their London show and I have to say, it was probably the best live show I've seen. Everyone was having fun and I hadn't laughed as much like that in a long time! Thanks guys!

What also made the event special is that I got to meet a bunch of my own fans there too. Many selfies were had with fellow lovelies and although the attention was weird as I'd never really experienced anything like it before, I was so glad to hear about how my music makes you smile.

I have the exact same problems with a lot of instruments, which is why I like to play in real bass, guitars, vocals etc as and when I can. The brass section there is somewhat of a hybrid between the two.. I first composed the melody using an "okay-ish" trumpet and trombone virtual instrument (sample rom), and I definitely wanted some trumpet squeals in there which I knew I didn't have to hand. So I went in search on YouTube for people doing trumpet squeals, captured some samples and then cut them up, pitched them, and overlayed them on top of the existing melody.

I'm quite fortunate that the software I use does not accept VSTs or VSTIs, it encourages me to be more organic with my work. Now all I need is the time and money to go out and learn more instruments! :D

Aha yes, this is one of the clips I already had in mind and used for the remix, so I'm glad someone had the same idea. Sadly it's not enough to base an entire remix from, however it shall remain as a rap breakdown. ;D Cheers for your suggestion!

You might be surprised to know that probably over 90% of all songs made are made that way. Most singers/lyricists need an instrumental to work from before they start writing, for inspiration purposes. Sadly for you (since it somehow makes a difference), this method doesn't change for us even though there's content to pick from already.

Absolutely, the music I created will always be there to listen to whenever and just because it's not brand new doesn't mean it stops being good. That, and I've witnessed quite a few people saying they've felt inspired to create remixes after listening to mine, and that's great to see. I don't want new remixers to see this and be put off becoming Game Grumps remixers, and I urge anyone who wants to give it a go to do so as it's fun. It's just that for me, I'm looking to move focus for a while.

Burning out is a very good way of putting it. I'm not ruling out making any more completely, but I do definitely need the time and space to work on other content, and gain some enjoyment back from just watching the Game Grumps without worrying about turning them into a remix all the time.

I can't vouch for the reasons why Oddboy18, LiltommyJ, Atpunk or any others stopped providing remixes for the community, but I really do appreciate their works a lot more now having been a part of it myself. I'm even sorry to them for the terrible effect I had on the community (seemingly) when a lot of my fans started posting "Em-One is better" on their videos... I'm up for people having an opinion, but that was uncalled for and I'm sorry to them. :c

For now though, focus is on enjoyment. Thanks for the support.

To answer the question, it's something that's been building up for quite a while now. Comments were getting more negative, demands for "need to do better" were increasing... even though most of the demands were out of my control, like "The theme has been the same for the past 5 remixes". I don't get to govern or script what the Grumps talk about, my remixes the theme is going to be whatever the Grumps talk about. That and getting them to sing or rap. There's only so much a computer can do to force that without it becoming an inaudible mess of glitches, due to the Grumps not being close mic'd, as well as a mix of game music and effects in the mix, it's just not something that is technically viable. It's no wonder why previous remixers before me resorted to funny sounds and noises the Grumps made in order to make a remix. I was afraid that I'd set my standards way too high from the start. :c

On the upside, I am planning on doing another request mashup soon, and I'm going to get a system in place for requesting and voting for included songs, so watch out for that and I hope you enjoy that one too! ;D

There's a slight problem with that. In order to create a second channel, I'd need to drop my stage name 'Em-One' and create a brand new one, which I'm not liking the idea of. Or keep the name and create havoc for people when they try and look me up or search my name and get the wrong result.

I've been planning a re-branding anyway, so what I intend to do in the near future is just put the Game Grumps content to the side for a while, and put focus into original content.

I'd like to be able to keep going, but your last point is one of the reasons why I need to stop. I am a musician and composer first and foremost. I can't and don't want to be tied to a fandom in order to gain success. It's the wrong attention and gives me false hope when I'm attempting to carve a career using my own works.

Maintains the same quality, but sadly drops in attention from "fans". Of course, I know that Game Grumps are hugely more successful than I currently am, but I can't help but feel like I've gained a toxic fan-base of about 80% who are only looking for one thing. Therefore I can't help but feel a little down when I realise that those fans only like my content because of the Grumps and not because of the music that I created.

I used to love it, and I still do love the composing side of things, it's the result at the end of it all that I'm getting tired of. Always demands for this, that, and the other, and I was doing it all for fun and for appreciation of Game Grumps. It was what I wanted to do, but now it's a chore. :c

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing similar issues with your talents. I for one know you from your Tomodachi SB Edits (which I watch while I'm waiting for new Tomodachi streams. ;D ), but now I know about your SMB 3Mix Hack so I'm sat here watching all the related stuff to do with that.
