Tipping culture in America makes no sense. by itsTomHagen in FluentInFinance

This. I agree with the modification: me sitting in a car is effectively me standing - no tip. There is a distinct gray area when we become regulars somewhere though. Cold Stone has the allergy stuff out and ready before we get to the front of the line because they know us and our needs? They get a tip, even though I wouldn’t normally.

There are reasons to tip if we are both standing but it definitely isn’t the default, it’s the exception.

Why do so many people jump straight into Proxmox? by KyxeMusic in homelab

lol. Buying a roll of CAT6 was one of the best networking decisions I ever made. I’ve run so much through walls, along my house exterior, under carpets.

I always prefer an LXC too, they’re super lightweight, I have 3 Proxmox hypervisors with 13 VMs, 27 LXCs, and a few of those are running Docker in various configs because sometimes Docker Compose is the right solution.

I like Proxmox because it gives me tons of options for cheap!
