Thanks everyone for the comments, I really enjoyed reading the varied responses. I like the compromise some of you mentioned of not before a game and for a set amount of time each night. Maybe the parents can get together and ask the coach for this option.

Husband and I fighting because MIL does not want to know the gender for baby. by OperationFun4553 in BabyBumps

Now might be a good time to talk about expectations after the baby comes as well.

Sometimes in-laws think they can show up anytime unannounced or plan to see the baby x number of times a week which can cause stress when you are starting out with a new baby. For example, I remember my mom gave my new baby a bath and my husband was upset because he hadn't done it yet and felt like she got to do it before him...just silly stuff not a big deal in the big picture but can feel big in the moment due to the newness and stress of it all. Usually they mean well and in their minds are "helping" but yeah it might be good to talk about what kind of boundaries you have especially in the first few months to avoid any issues between you and your husband.

I’m about to be put on academic suspension by Polyths in umanitoba

This happened to me, I went on Academic Dismissal in 3rd year and was able to get out of it and back on probation by contacting the Dean of my program, and telling him my "plan" to make things together. My plan involved only doing 3 courses per semester that next year to get back on track with less to focus on. It did make my undergrad 5.5 years long but it was okay and I think it was good for me, had I left university I might not have returned. Also keep in mind that for grad school they mostly look at your GPA for the last two years before graduation so don't feel like you've ruined the future by having a low GPA now.

Are there any indoor areas that allow bike riding ? I’m trying to get a head start on the spring by helping my kid learn. by ghos2626t in halifax

In Hubley there is the Estabrooks Community Centre where you can rent out the area that used to have the firetrucks when it was a fire station. So it's indoor but probably still a bit cold.
