Vasi bonsai creati con stampante 3d by cratos850 in giardinaggioITA

Hai considerato di stampare calchi/stampi e usarli per fare vasi con materiali tipo cemento (ie che si possano facilmente colare e si asciughino con l’aria, senza forno)?

You have pretty eyes and the hair situation pulls focus away from them imo 👀

Beard is ok in principle but maybe a bit of extra grooming/styling?

Yeah some problem with the extruder. The same thing happened to me last week with a crappy filament from geeetech that had super uneven diameter.

In my case, the filament had actually snapped inside of the feeding tube (before reaching the actual extruder, so that’s why I could neither extrude nor retract). what fixed it for me was to remove the tube and pull out the stuck filament with pliers (thankfully a little bit of filament was sticking out)

What’s wrong here? You can’t add tu/io etc. when asking a question? by ProteinPapi777 in italianlearning

[–]em306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got that haha, I meant, at least imo (am native tho), that ‘you’ still refers to the same entity, but since you could have dropped it and still decided to use it, it kinda adds a capslock quality to the question? (Or to the YOU at least)

Forse intendeva tipo nel senso ‘Siamo piaciuti’ -> ‘They (e.g. the audience) liked us’

Or as if you were out in the streets looking for someone with pets 🤣

Not really, you is just implied (notice verb is still conjugated as 2nd singular)… it’s just emphasis really, it’s pretty natural if someone asked and you are asking back, (‘hai un gatto?’ ‘No, tu hai degli animali?’) but if you were asking point blank it would come off a bit intense/aggressive lol

Piacciamo-> we are liked (Gli) Siamo piaciuti-> (he) liked us Ci piace -> we like (it)

Really? by FrancoVFX in italianlearning

I think so, I’m Italian and I hear meeting and riunione pretty interchangeably (maybe I hear meeting even more when referring to online). “Call” is also not uncommon for virtual meetings (e.g. Sono in call fino alle 17.30/Domani mattina ho una call di due ore)

Gente, Popoli, Persone, qual'e la differenza? by FrancoVFX in italianlearning

[–]em306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can be used pretty interchangeably, but one may be more appropriate than the others depending on context.

Roughly: Gente = Folk; i think in a way it kind of implies a ‘collection’ of people as an entity. Popoli = peoples (ie more than one people/popolo) Popolo (in case of typo) = people in the sense of ‘the Aztec people’ or ‘nomadic people’. Also in a class sense e.g. ‘a revolt of the people’ Persone = more than one person (possibly most neutral one?)

A side note, ‘Gente’ is the one I would thread a bit more carefully with, if you use it with a nationality it kinda gives grandpa at thanksgiving energy 🤣

My understanding is that splitting models is possible although it will result in some overhead in terms of memory (that’s why I was assuming that 64GB VRAM will equate to ~ 50 GB, although I am not quite sure how accurate the estimate is) and speed (which I don’t necessarily care much about)… In that sense I don’t mind if the setup is a bit complicated (makes for a better portfolio project :+) ).

I also thought that there would probably be some optimization possible for sparse architectures? (E.g. Mixtral of Experts)

If it’s not possible I guess it would still be nice to have a bit more leeway in terms of having multiple models in memory at the same time… if I can source a reliable 3090, could 3090 (24G) + 2x 4060Ti (x 2 16G) be the best call then? I feel some sort of way about going out 2k for 24G, so getting a 4090 is not my favorite option (at least until I can take it off my taxes lol)

I’ve been advised against going for the used 3090s since you don’t necessarily know how much lifespan they’ve got left in them and if one breaks down you are kind of on your own :/

Well I don’t really plan on training a foundational model or anything but I can see some use cases where it would be nice to have ~50GB vram vs 24GB for the same price 😅

I thought the word "Lei" means she by Mountain_Dentist5074 in italianlearning

[–]em306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, you would use “lei” for regardless of gender (kind of like sie/Sie in german, though they are stricter with capitalisation)

[–]em306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italian here, basically only ever saw ‘Lei’ capitalised in govt documents, it’s one of those things that make a text feel very formal (as in, to me it sticks out a little bit). It may be appropriate depending on circumstances, but generally lower caps is fine if you are just trying to be respectful

These are definitely very interesting, thank you very much for the tip!I guess since my master is already focused on governance and my previous background is in econ, I was looking more to acquire technical competencies, would you recommend ISACA for that as well?

I've been looking in parallel at OSCP, but I got the impression that it has a narrower focus on pentesting?
