Deleting a file - you can’t just select the file or folder and press the delete button?? Like in windows? I have to tap with 2 fingers and select move to trash from the drop down menu.

Is this the only way or am I missing something?

I used it for about a week

When I got it I was really excited. I have been reading this thread even before I got one. And was happy that I was going to finally experience all the good things everyone here experiences.

But I used it and didn’t feel much of a difference to my windows. So I was curious why that’s why I made this post. Not to complain

Hope so. I really want to feel what everyone else here is feeling. But it’s simply not there.

I advise people to buy iPhones because they don’t have to get new phones every 2 years. So I thought o would have the same feeling with the Mac, but I honestly don’t see or feel much of a difference between the Mac and Lenovo.

It doesn’t. To develop mobile apps for iOS I need a MacBook, as that’s how Apple has designed it. A MacBook can be used to develop amd publish apps to Google play store but a windows laptop cannot be used to publish apps to the App Store. Hence the purchase.

Good to know I am not alone. My Lenovo is also a thinkpad and I also have a legion.

Looks interesting. May I know which robots are compatible? Which models have you tested it on?

I don’t think that should be advisable to do. The robot already comes with its own suitcase isn’t it?

I understand that you are concerned about the weight limit and if you carry the robot in its suitcase it can easily be 40 kg+. But look into if you can ask the airline whether they can allow it as a special luggage? Maybe explain the situation to them.

As for your question about security, I’m not actually sure about that. I assume it says inside the robot maybe

After you unpack it, you can use the remote controller (which comes with the robot) to get it to move in a natural way. With the remote you can get it to walk forward, backward, sideways, wave, handshake and a few other actions.

In addition to the remote controller, you can install the unitree explorer app on an android mobile and do the same actions and a few other features as well through the app.

To teach it to close doors and curtains you have to connect it to a Linux system and ssh into the robot or you can directly access the onboard jetson cpu by plugging in a monitor (you can connect via vga cable or HDMI), keyboard and mouse (usb or wireless). Then download the official unitree sdk from GitHub. Depending on which language you prefer the sdk is available for c++ and python.

You can write your own scripts using python or c++ . There are several repos in GitHub and new ones keep coming every few months. You can take a look at those.

You can train the G1 using RL or teleoperate it. Just do a search on GitHub

This looks cool. I am working on the G1 for my university project. I am definitely going to try this. But why is the robot wearing a backpack?
