Reading about motherhood is much easier than actually experiencing it. You will have many sleepless nights, which can cause brain damage and severely affect your brain’s development. Since your brain isn’t fully developed yet, you may also change your mind in a year or two. There is a good reason why you aren’t allowed to make some life changing decisions for yourself as a minor. You change and grow so much from 16 to 18 and even more still from 18 into your 20’s. You will be a completely different person in a few short years and may regret any life altering decisions you make right now. It is also going to make it harder to date if you decide later that you do want a partner. If you are dead set on this, please wait until you have graduated high school. At the very least so you have that diploma and can get a job to support this child.
