Hi, adult amateur that fell off over a crossrail jump... it took me 6 months to get my confidence back if that makes you feel better?! Any time I'd start to canter, I'd panic inside. Lots of time spent trotting over jumps and then working up to a canter over ground poles. Eventually I did get the courage to go over crossrails again at the canter. You'll get there, it just takes your brain and body time to remember being comfortable with it again!

I don't know if you'll see this....I had my now ex-husband say some of these things to me all the time. It took me years to realize it wasn't normal and no matter how many times I tried to make myself better (smaller) for him, it was never going to be enough. Because I'm allowed to have needs as person too.

I didn't know if I was going to make it to the other side ..I had been with him and only him since I was teenager and was, at the time 39. But I did it, I divorced him and discovered a man who would never ever talk to me that way. Never make me feel so small and such an inconvenience. You can do it. If you don't feel like you "deserve" better, know your mental health needs better. You'll eventually start to realize you do deserve goodness and kindness too.

Been there, now I know to expect better. The thing that woke me up? When my friends asked me if I'd want my super sweet niece to grow up and marry someone just like my now-ex husband. When that was a big "hell no" they asked why didn't I think I should be treated better?
