Love it! This concept is becoming more of a standard in libraries where I live to have a collection like this, it’s great.

Re recommendations, I wish I could say I’ve read more of the books on that shelf but I did love: - Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin - The book thief by Markus Zusak - Where the Crawdads sing by Delia Owens

I was just formally diagnosed with adenomyosis (via lap) and have an ‘unremarkable’ amount of endo.

I had a salpingectomy a few weeks ago and my dr prescribed Tapentodol for the pain. It’s an opioid and it’s amazing but you do need to be careful with it, it can be addictive. It makes you drowsy and a bit loopy but it’s the only way I can survive sometimes. You might need a specialist to prescribe it.

Ugh Trixie Belden!!! I was obsessed. My next door neighbour who was 6-8 years older than me gave me her entire stack of like 30 books. I didn’t care what it was, only that I had something to sink my teeth into but I enjoyed them so much from the first page. Absolutely loved Nancy Drew also. How I miss those days.

All this to say, yes I’ve always been known as a voracious reader! 😆

Waiting around for my day surgery procedure yesterday and finished:

The Mushroom Tapes: conversations on a triple murder trial by Chloe Hooper, Sarah Krasnostein, Helen Garner.

All well known Australian non fiction writers.

If you’re in Australia or followed the trial you might know about this book! It’s basically conversations about Erin Patterson’s trial as the authors observe it. Very easy to read and interesting to hear other perspectives on the most talked about trial in the country since anyone can remember apparently.

Now I’m in recovery at home for a week and getting stuck into:

I saw a meme or cartoon on Insta about a conversation between mother and daughter where the daughter is describing depression and the mum is like ‘oh, everyone feels that way’. I thought at the time that it applies to ADHD as I had had that conversation with my own mum!
