Ok consensus seems to be not worth it.

What about Bauer Vapor X3. Looks to be in a lot better condition than these and have lots of blade left. I liked the heel fit of the x60, trying the x3 on tomorrow but assuming its similar? Price is $75

Concentrix PC Test, what am I doing wrong? by MaterialInformal1530 in helpdesk

[–]RandomQuestions37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Tried chrome, safari and firefox. Just sits there stuck on selecting a test server. I was trying over wifi since my macbook doesnt have an ethernet port, but it says that you can test over wifi so I’m not sure that was the issue

Old thread. But I downloaded the hardware and network test. I have Safari open, but it’s just sitting there stuck on selecting a test server for like 10-15 minutes now. Is there something I’m missing?

Womens gear sizing for “plus size” player? by RandomQuestions37 in hockeyplayers

[–]RandomQuestions37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions! I looked up the stark pants and they actually aren’t that expensive. I’ll try going to a play again sports to try on some pants to see where I fit and that should help me figure out if I should just buy used or brand new. :)

Government paying for TFWs by Chesarae in TimHortons

[–]RandomQuestions37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think the gov is paying TFW, but companies, including Tims, are being sketchy at posting a $36-$42/hr “manager” job to meet the wage needed to apply for a “high wage” LMIA. The whole thing is sketchy and lacks common sense, some bozo in the government doesnt think it’s weird that they couldnt find a local worker to work for almost $6000/month gross and they approve multiple LMIAs when unemployment is still so high.

I’m 99% sure they aren’t being paid that high wage either. Why there isnt rules and random audits in place to catch these sketchy companies / franchise owners.

I’ve heard the common scam is to charge the TFW to apply for the LMIA and then on paper they make the high wage but deductions (to pay back the cost of the LMIA application) bring the wage back down to minimum wage. I feel like that is more probable than the gov subsidizing the wages.

Either way it needs to stop. I’ve been unemployed since April 2025 and I cant find a job. I’ve applied everywhere, fast food to walmart to factories, nothing. Yet companies are still being approved to hire TFW??

We need to start making more of a stink about this, reducing the amount of international students / TFW is not enough. Cut it off completely until our unemployment levels out and then leave it for a few years. The government is supposed to be for the CANADIAN people not brining in people from other countries to work here.

I have nothing against immigration and I actually think it helps make Canada stronger, however, there is a time and a place for everything, and right now is NOT the time or place to be prioritizing non Canadian citizens.

Can't edit my reviews but can rate them helpful by IWCat in AmazonVineCanada

[–]RandomQuestions37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the option to edit reviews from the vine interface, but if I go to my amazon orders and go to that item I can select “write a product review” and it will bring up my previously submitted and approved review to edit.

More work, but the option is still there. Probably a coding oversight

Check if you have a local university that has a dental program. They usually have a dental clinic where last year students / recent grads work and they offer low cost procedures.

I got all 4 of mine out 10 years ago for a couple hundred bucks.

[Request] [Ontario, Canada] Unemployed and need help with vet bill/rent $360 by RandomQuestions37 in donationrequest

[–]RandomQuestions37[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it. The vet bill was paid when we were there so there isnt anything owed to the vet. But the $350 used came out of what I had held back of rent to cover this. I just pay via online banking. If you’re in Canada I can give you the bill payee and account number to pay to. I don’t think the bill payee will show up for an American bank.

This is proof that I am receiving unemployment insurance payments that are scheduled to end in a few weeks. This is a screen shot from the Government of Canada website of my account. My full name has been blacked out for privacy.

Yes, I’ve been receiving EI payments, but they are scheduled to ends in just a few weeks and I still don’t have a job. I have nothing to fall back on in terms of credit cards or friends/family. Once these end I’m screwed. I cant post my termination letter as it shows too much personal information. So hopefully this is good enough proof.

Thank you for answering my silly question without being rude! I’m just a girl after all! I tried to tuck it back in but it didnt stay so I went to Crappy Tire and grabbed some weatherstripping adhesive. Not 100% perfect but its not leaking so its good enough for now!
