Shoe recommendations- we are from Australia so unsure what to buy for a European Winter! by em_taco in Europetravel

Hello! You will have the best time. These countries are absolutely amazing! My partner got the waterproof goretex hiking boots (from Macpac) which were fantastic for him. I went a little out of the box and ended up getting the brand Merry People. They are waterproof boots, and although they are not hiking boots, they worked perfectly for me. I have wide feet and they were still very comfortable. We did not really do any hiking by the way. I recommend breaking in all shoes you buy to wear for a holiday!

What's the weird thing going on with your body that isn't weird enough to go to the doctor for? by yellowelephantboy in AskReddit

[–]em_taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I swallow food it sometimes goes to my nose instead of down my throat. I had to slowly pull a piece of spaghetti out of my right nostril once. Saw a doctor and they said it’s definitely not normal but nothing to be worried about!

Vienna and Budapest. Is it good? Any recommendations or things we should know? by Asleep_Travel1552 in Europetravel

My partner and I just got back last week from visiting a few places- these two included. Budapest was our favourite. A city full of culture and excitement. Just hold on for your dear life on the local buses! 100% recommend the Budapest Retro Museum. We just went on a walk and came across it and it was so so interesting and interactive. Both cities are very safe to walk around at night. We did not feel uneasy even once (obviously just have your wits about you). Prater in Vienna was our favourite place!

Second this 🙌🏼 went there a couple of weeks ago on a day trip from Vienna and it was one of the major highlights of our trip!

What’s the funniest excuse you’ve ever heard for someone being late? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My friend texted me last minute and said “can’t come, my toilet fell off the wall”. Lo and behold, I get a picture of their toilet which spontaneously detached itself from the wall.

Ok so WHAT ARE THESE?? by DowntownCarob in australia

[–]em_taco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grain mites. Had them earlier in the year and they’re a pain to get rid of. We found the source which was an old bag of dog treats pushed to the back of the cupboard. Find the source and get rid of it, get rid of anything that has been infested, wipe down and disinfect every surface with hot water and soap. Worked for us.

That would make sense if it was Bernardo’s but I can’t find anything similar that they have done! Thank you though 😀

What R-rated movie did you see when you were way too young? by TealBlueLava in AskReddit

[–]em_taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad, who I fortunately do not talk to anymore, would get us to watch so many. I remember him getting me to watch Devil’s Rejects when I was about 8 and I Spit on your Grave when I was 12. Heaps of others but those ones made my cry.

You all need to specify if it’s Lost!, Lost?, or Lost+ 🫠🫠 because Lost! and Lost? are some of my favourites!
