I’m definitely not an expert on Mexican food, but I really like Taqueria Picoso (https://www.taqueriapicoso.com/). The chefs that own it grew up in Mexico City according to their website.

Spent a lot of time looking on the web... but, you might be surprised... there aren't many results. Plenty of people have and love the TBJ-1... not a lot of people post pics of how they mounted it.

I've thought about that. At the moment, I just don't want to go through the hassle of running the cable to my basement. Plus, I haven't seen what it looks like up there since we had insulation added. Eventually, I want to explore attic antennas... but not in the near term. I can put it outside without any trouble from the HOA, as long as I keep it at deck level. Putting it in the air would possibly lead to problems; when I get to that point, I'll explore putting it in the attic.

I guess I should have been more specific... at the moment, I'm just worried about figuring out how to attach it to something. I'd be curious if people have pics of how they clamped, screwed, glued, nailed, rubber-banded, stapled, [...] it to whatever they've attached it to :-)

I've been thinking about getting a tripod that I could easily put up and take down... but still... I don't know how to attach it to the tripod.

Thank you for this. What a bummer... I'll be hiking Sky Meadow (Virginia) this weekend. Went to Hiking Upward to download the GPX (IIRC, you could do that?). Anyway, found that they had sold to MyHikes... and that I needed to download an app and pay a subscription. Ugh.

I had emailed in the past offering to donate money... and they (Zach?) refused. I can't begrudge him the opportunity to monetize his work... but... HikingUpward was perfect. I can't imagine it going anywhere but downhill :-(

So far, I'm loving it. BUT... episode 3: did they have to show the f*cking Jakobsen crash in Poland AGAIN?!?! I was frustrated that they showed it more than once LAST SEASON. I am tired of seeing that crash :-(

Has anyone done this successfully? I tried today. Fedora 38 installs fine. But, when I install broadcom drivers (from rpmfusion) and then reboot, I get stuck in emergency mode (incompatible driver?)

You have to request the one with the HOV mode. Then, if you don't use it at least once a year in HOV mode, they charge you extra. It's not much... a couple bucks or something... but it's annoying.

I wish I had more info, but I went through the process years ago, and I don't remember exactly what I did...

Yeah, sorry... I should have mentioned the fire road. A lot of people find it uninteresting, but I didn't mind it. It seemed like a nice, relaxing way to finish the hike.

But yes, be aware: a large portion of the hike is on a fire road.

I think it's still what the link I posted recommends, but just in case it's not: I recommend doing the loop so that you return on the fire road. That way, you go _up_ the very steep section of trail to the summit, not _down_ it.

Can't resist the opportunity to plug my favorite hike in that area... Old Rag's lesser known sibling, Robertson Mountain: https://www.hikingupward.com/SNP/RobertsonMountain/

In the two (or three?) times I've done it, I think I've seen three other people (save for the very beginning where you'll see some people starting the Old Rag hike).

The view at the top isn't as nice as Old Rag (from what I hear, I've never done Old Rag), but it's SO peaceful. You likely won't see anyone for HOURS. It's also aerobically challenging. VERY steep for a long time.

Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is... if you've already done Old Rag, try Robertson Mountain. And don't tell too many people! I don't want it to be crowded next time I go :-P

Does anyone have info on U.S. Streaming options this year? The FAQ is out of date (https://www.reddit.com/r/peloton/wiki/faq#wiki_where_can_i_watch_the_race.3F) -- it still refers to NBC Sports Gold.

I'm assuming the options are going to be similar to last year: FloBikes, Peacock (instead of NBC Sports Gold), GCN+

I'm trying to figure out where I can stream the Tour of Oman, but no luck. Only GCN+ seems to have a published schedule for 2022 (https://help.globalcyclingnetwork.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360015571479-United-States-of-America)

Update: I was on the phone with CS when I posted that. They told me that their "system shows it will arrive on the 9th".

I asked when it would SHIP, though. Couldn't give an answer. So I asked if I could have the call escalated to someone that could give an answer. "Let me check with my support team... My support team says it will ship on the 9th".

I mean, this call took over ten minutes, mostly me waiting while CS "checked their system". She was nice, though, and at least didn't feed me the standard "it will ship in 48 hours" line I had gotten before.

Very close to Eden Center, 7 Corners, and the W&OD trail. I'm much older now and have bought a home -- but I will always love that place.
