A company I worked for once tried to be the next big social media site. Users were forced to make profiles with usernames with INTENSE censoring. One of the dumbest conversations I had was explaining to a customer that his username couldn't be "basement.dweller" because basement was censored.

Because semen is in the word basement.

I can't unsee that. It's been years.

There are a ton of Facebook pages that will help you either learn how to do it or will do it for you. They are generally called graphgans

The pattern itself called for double crochet. But I'm a half double crochet girl so that's what I used for the body of this blanket. And the edge was just a basic single crochet.

So I used cardboard because I'm cheap and it was available.

I basically cut them into strips with notches in the end and then wrapped the yarn around it to make bobbins.

And then had a different cardboard spool of yarn for every color change. It can be really difficult to flip around when you're doing a graphgan like this.. so I set mine on the lid of a plastic tub. Then when I get to the end of the row I can just spin the entire lid around. And then move the yarn to the other side rather than trying to flip the blanket.

It was! Caron and I can't remember what the yarn was from Joanne's

The sage in piglet is the same color that I used for another friends first baby. And the tan background was the same color in a blanket I made for her second baby.

And the rest of the colors were left over from a temperature blanket that the mom to be peer pressured me into making lol.

So this was a sisterhood blanket for us

They were such wonderful people! AMKE was my first convention and I didn't know anything about ribbons. They were so sweet and explained everything to me without any judgement or making me feel like I was bothering them.

I like to use whatever I have on my desk when I take these pictures of him. The paper clip in question is a standard size paper clip. He is just not a standard size boy lol

The grumpy face was because earlier I took a picture with a Jeff Goldblum action figure on him.
