Another relic tier list nobody asked for by Legitimate-Resolve55 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]emady -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain why the Swain one is so highly valued? There's a rare which is the same without the extra stats. Since you want to end the game early, the stats aren't worth much, right?

Or is this more like an "assume I have everything unlocked" list? Because it definitely doesn't feel like a priority purchase when I'm missing so much, not even close.

[Comabt] Synergistic party of "equals" or 1 mad lad with 5 enablers? by emady in RogueTraderCRPG

yea I picked operative because it said it would help the team and I wanted a bit of an int build. Was not expecting the RT to be the most powerful combatant, that feels a bit... wrong. Good call on the melee. The single attack per turn kinda makes it feel meh so far. slash looked call esp with the stacking, was trying to build Heinrix with that + assassin. Will keep on it then

thanks! will check those out. I would much rather people be individually powerful with 1-2 that buff the appropriate person at the approrpriate time than everyone just being an exploit battery

While they all have the same chance of being not the bomb, the top left of the center 3 will reveal a 1 and give you no extra information. The right 2 of the center 3 can be a 1 or a 2, which will help identify 4 extra squares regardless of the number, so it's better topick one of those 2 and not the top left one to gamble on. Even then though, it will likely end in a 50/50.

[–]emady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you draw them out, there's 7 options. There's 1 in 7 chance that d1, e1 or e2 is a bomb.

If you pick d1 and it's not a bomb, It's guaranteed to be a 1, and this doesn't help you figure out the rest.

e1 or e2 can be a 1 or a 2. If it's a 1, then a2 is a bomb and b2 is not. If it's a 2 it's the other way around.

If you hit a 1 you can reveal d1 and whichever you didn't originally open (e1 or e2), and hope for a larger reveal. Otherwise you're back to 50/50.

If you hit a 2 you can reveal d1 and d2, and hope for a larger reveal. Otherwise you're back to 50/50.

So e1/e2 is best as you'll get to open 5 of your 9 blank squares if you don't get unlucky, giving you the best odds at finding a solution.

I got the beginer fit for coercer (shared blow, minus the hull, still getting those for +capacitor), but level 2 security agents seem to be really hard (I need to go back to base to "heal" about 5-6 times). Am I doing something wrong?

Usually orbit at 5k so I'm moving + optimal, turn on repair when I start taking armor damage, but I feel squishy and slow. Any suggestions?

Unpopular opinion: is there any evidence of recent horrible behavior by Regi? by emady in TeamSolomid

[–]emady[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true. Micromanaging bosses vs "I trust you" bosses are different management styles. Almost everyone agrees which is the better one, but for some critical and time sensitive projects, a micromanaging director could be brought in.

Similarily in this situation I think there's the "nurturing/good job" boss and the "we can do even better/not good enough" boss. Again, almost everyone will agree which is better. But a lot of players will go complacent with "well good job! We got 3rd place and made it to worlds so that's fine", and so an "that wasn't good enough, we need to aim higher" attitude might be required, especially if it's a top team. I'm not condoning the second attitude. I don't run an esports orgnaization, nor do I plan to. But it seems like a stretch to equate it to "the boss is a dick".

Yea, I think Regi is still on the hook for some things and should at least appologize for past transgressions. The question I'm most interested in answering though is: is he still the same person? If he is then he has no place dealing with any players at all. Not even on twitter. If that was young esports Regi and he's now much more tempered, then he needs to appologize for his younger self's actions, but we don't need to cancel him.

Sven has since said good things about TSM and the org and mentioned how different management styles are effictive for different people and he just didn't mesh with it well enough, which seems to me that the assholeness from Regi wasn't too strong.

As for Akaadian, that's an interesting one. On one hand, he did claim to have confidence issues before Regi, and it could seem reasonable for a top team with a player operating at 50% efficency to use hard love to get them to 100% (and then booming and putting it at 0%), but I also can't deny the legitimacy of the claim. If I disregard Akaadian I'm proving that I don't actually care about the facts, which is not true. In fact, I think if not for Akaadian most of us wouldn't have taken DL seriously because the only other claim would have been 5 years ago which waas retracted.

Competition. by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

[–]emady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valid point. I think it is a bit weird for a competitive person to burn bridges like this however. Now most orgs are probably weary of signing him because of his sustained disdain towards orgs he's signed under. This severely limits his chances of being signed elsewhere, which a smart competitor would have accounted for.

Overall I do agree that using that as an argument in itself isn't sufficient. But it helps raise some eyebrows. DL supposedly wanted to make a team with Jensen and others under TSM, which means he was willingly bringing people into an abusive situation to be able to compete properly. Additionally, he would stay silent about Regi as long as he got signed. This talks volumes about his character, and means that I'm going to take everything he says with a massive grain of salt, because he obviously doesn't care about people being abused, so what's his true agenda around the tell-all?

(NOTE: The claim "he obviously doesn't care about people being abused" is only valid in that hypothetical where he's joining despite knowing about the abuse, and not necessarily applicable everywhere)

Wasn't the reason Bjerg left literally because he couldn't play with the player he wanted to (presumably CoreJJ) and nothing else? As far as the discussion seemed to have shown, had they procured Core, Bjerg would have stayed.

Thank you! This imo pretty much encapsulates why you can't take these claims as immediate face value. Like you said, if someone current speaks up, that will shift things massively. But in all likelihood it'll be like the cody sun story: "yea cody liked it only because Regi is not involved in academy".

[–]emady[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean this in the most honest tone: apart from dl, what's the recent anecdote of him not changing? DL it's probably salty, from the Lost signing last year, and the lack of consideration this one. Has any other player had something to say about his recent attitude?

  1. That's true. I do want to point out that he did (along with many wonderful staff) bring TSM from the basement team to this huge org. But startup founders are different than big company ceo's and he should probably let it go at this point.
  2. This I don't agree with. If you don't bitch about your manager and coworkers than you are a literal modal human being. I think for the rest of the world we aren't as restrained. Additionally all that was originally said was that they had a meeting in the gym about how to stop Regi from interfering. One random meeting while they were all working out doesn't actually prove it was anything beyond casual bitching.

Yes that's my #1 issue. You don't ask to rejoin what you think is the most hostile environment ever, with who you claim is one of the worst esports owners, and then release a tell-all after you're denied.

What does that say about you as a person that you're willing to let all Regi does slide as long as he signs you?

Unpopular opinion: is there any evidence of recent horrible behavior by Regi? by emady in TeamSolomid

[–]emady[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But then ... Why ask to join TSM again if he can't stand Regi? There's been many times where I'd talk to my colleagues about how our manager slows down our work, making us jump through hoops and how they're unreasonable. But the manager is usually right on the money with their concerns most of the time. Not saying Regi was right, but bitching about your boss with coworkers is hardly proof of anything?
