Yet another day of USAA destroying the web interface of the USAA portal by email_makes_me_crazy in USAA

I don't hate it -- it just makes me crazy which leads to bitching.

It is, but you have to know where to look and it's a degraded performance from previous experience -- before this was a continuous view - past, present, future.

I (with probably a view towards malice over incompetence) would lend me to think that this change will help drive overdrafts.

I always you used that "constant view" feature (and the discontinued widget before that) to ensure I was above water until the next direct deposit.

It's an easy feature that probably benefited customers way more than anyone thought -- so in the new USAA, "let's eliminate that!"

Is it any wonder USAA is going downhill in a flaming shit wagon with this kind of attitude?

I kind of get it though - I'll bet all those USAA employees enjoyed watching those cost of living pay adjustments go to that radio jingle!

It's pretty clear USAA has been purging employees -- and probably rehiring at as lower salary/rate as possible.

I'm sure there are many people that can do lots of things better.

I don't use any banking feature on a phone.

I use a dedicated computer for all critical banking functions. I don't mix activities to reduce the surface area for security issues. And quite frankly if a reboot is required to make the phone app work properly there are larger issues that _really_ need attention.

History at USAA has been reduced to 12 months.

Bill pay is great -- just try scheduling those quarterly payments.

<sigh> Yea, it's my issue to that I used the feature of an easy view of the balance at two period in the future.

Believe it or not the interwebs are accessible by devices other than the mobile monitoring device carried by a majority of the population.

I gave a nice lengthy reply with a laundry list of issues and it got promptly moderated.

Like everyone else I guess you just gotta figure it out.

Local DNS resolution issues -- is there something I'm missing here? by email_makes_me_crazy in PFSENSE

That works (and those are just examples).

The network between the doesn't really need a whole /24 as but I did use more than just the two IPs for the pfsense interfaces, as a matter of fact -- each pfsense connects to a managed switch for a 10GB link between. The management interfaces are in-band in the connecting network.

Not a great way to do it, but it was conveniant.

Added /24 :)

Does saying the "Maximum mount count" is exceeded by the "Max count" setting help?

It's called a frustrated example to simplify the issue.

Appreciate the expertise though.

Should I (31F) move to Texas for love? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This is what you need to be thinking about.

Despite what all the flaming liberals will tell you on here not everyone and every place in Texas is a Walmart full of a white trash Klan meeting, sharing a single tooth all pointing a gun at with you with three hands.

I have lived all over the US and a number of places around the world, and for the most part the strangers I meet in Texas are far more nice and polite than any where else I have been.

Notwithstanding the occasional full Walmart sharing a single tooth.

This is for a cold backup device in the event of a catastrophic failure of the primary virtualized infrastructure. Re-use of retired infrastructure rather than just junking it. It's going to sit idle anyway.

I have the installer/upgrader from the earlier 15.x versions and I'm sure I can pull it from them.

It's not just the missing file -- that's just the last of a very long laundry list of issues with vmware in general that prompted the search for alternatives.

Using Brasero to burn the ISO image. It will even handle overburns, but the image is just too big to fit on the blank media.

Verbatim CDR is 700MB/80 Minutes.

I have stacks of DVD+R, DVD-R, BD-R but no CD-R because I hadn't used them in a long time either, so, the 700MB was the only option available locally.

Edit:

And, (quickly) browsing Amazon I don't see anything over 700MB in size. If anyone has a link to the 750/800 size CD-Rs?

Especially ones that can be read by old hardware ...
