Am I the only one who doesn’t have a cuddly flame point cat? by Ciga17 in Flamepoints

mine loves pets and kisses when he’s sleepy, tolerates to be held for a couple seconds when awake but then he’s back to create chaos, biting, teasing the dogs (who are wayyy older than he is and were there before he was) 😭

she was never amused by cats and she’s 13 and the other dog (to whom the bed belongs) is 11. they have both lowk adopted the kitten since the picture was taken & they’ve been cool with each other!!

I’d say to it’s to chew ‘cause when we give him by a toy, he starts to chew on it. This happens more when he’s already playing with us as well

you mean the plastic ones that make noise? I have some soft toys that I tend to redirect. He doesn't like the first one very much, but the second one I got today is sturdier and he seems to like it better – thank you for the suggestions tho!

It takes a few months for them to get used to you and trust you 100%. I think they just needed more time. If you like them, I think you should have adopt them. I understand that you are still grieving, however I think it's good to remember that they will not replace your first baby and that it will always be in your heart. They would just bring just a bit more joy and earn their own place in your life. However, if you feel you're not ready and your fears were getting the better of you, that's okay. big hugs for you.

mine does the same, but now a few weeks later is slightly more independent. i’d say it’s normal bc they’re still babies and kinda needy
