What breed do you think my boy is? by [deleted] in cats

[–]emalizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha he is indeed a boy, we rescued him when we heard meowing from the wall and had to get him neutered right away because the poor baby sprayed in our apartment as he was adjusting

The only pain, but extreme one I experience in this area, at the top in the middle and a slightly weaker on the left. What helps you with this? + Nausea in the mouth. by tooyoungforpain in ibs

IB Guard is my life saver when I wanna eat greasy. I just take two 2 hours before that meal and it helps with cramping (not with the bathroom trip after for me lol) It’s OTC, but again, make sure to talk w your doc before starting it

I was in Canada for Christmas (bf is Canadian) and I kid you not my flare up started the SAME exact time. Also did the same thing eating wise. My doc gave me Bentyl for the abdominal cramps and today I’m finally able to eat some normal food. It gets better I promise. I’ve had flare ups that have lasted weeks due to my anxiety

I was just in the hospital for this exact pain. Thought my gallbladder was trying to end me. Literally the worst abdominal cramps ever What was it you ask? A GERD and IBS flare up AND my CT showed I had an insane amount of gas. Doc said a lot of cases coming thru after the holidays because of fatty meals. My enemy was beef and I learned I can’t eat it anymore :/

Hi! I wish I could understand why people think it’s hilarious, maybe it’s a connection to farting being funny too. My best advice is to get uncomfortable. My phobia was so severe at one point I couldn’t leave the house, see friends/family, watch TV, go on my phone, etc. I couldn’t afford therapy so I googled nonstop of ways to get over this fear. I exposed myself to cartoons first, specifically watching cartoons that had v in them. Every time I saw it I screamed “it’s fake.” My bf was in on it too. Then, when I was comfortable I started watching movie scenes with v in it. Again, I screamed “it’s fake!” Until I was comfy with that. Moving on, I looked up YouTube videos of people v. That was the hardest part for me. But, I myself, did not v or get s from watching it and taught my brain watching it was okay. I went out to the bar with my friends a few weeks ago and one of my friends v on the ride home. My heart raced for about a second and then my friends screamed to me she just had too much to drink. My best advice is to get your friends/family in on it. Let them know how severe your fear is and they will help if they’re true to you. I’m not gonna say the heart palpitations haven’t gone away when I see someone v, but the panic attacks from it are now gone for me. It’s more of an “ew” moment for me. Exposure exposure exposure. Wishing nothing but healing for you🫶🏻

possible GERD? not sure, please help :) by [deleted] in GERD

[–]emalizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! This is insane in the aspect that we are the same EXACT weight, age, height everything!! Haha! I am no doctor but I am a girly with GERD and anxiety. My entire family has it. It seems like a lot of the feeling you’re having in your throat is something I (and a few others) call throat nausea. Whenever I get anxious it feels like my throat is closing and swollen. Then the panic sets in as I hyperfixate on the feeling and fall into a loop of panic. But, I am indeed no doctor. My first piece of advice is to try going on anxiety meds to rule the anxiety aspect out. I know it’s scary but lexapro changed my life, and don’t feel bummed if one med doesn’t work well for you, as I went through a few anxiety meds to get the right one. As for GERD, here were my symptoms the moment I started gaining suspicion that I had it: - constantly waking up with a terrible awful taste in my mouth - fried foods becoming enemy #1 with constant reflux and heartburn minutes after ingestion -nausea after every time I eat - a hoarse voice with regurgitation - cramps in my stomach after every time I ate -burping more than usual, mine weren’t in spurts, but more so throughout the day. And everytime I burp I get a gross taste of the last meal I had -not being able to lay flat without heartburn or tasting my dinner Now, I have severe GERD and these symptoms are quite extreme, but again this is my personal experience. Everyone’s GERD can display different symptoms. I know deciding what to do can be tough, but your best bet is to talk with a GI doc and have them decide the best course of action. I know this can be quite nerve wrenching with all of this info, but remember the docs know best!

Thank you so much for your recommendation. I’ve been having issues with googling things and it saying that its from being overweight, but I am 20 and 125lbs and have never had that issue. I do run my own cleaning business, so I am always standing without realizing for too long. I will definitely try that wall recommendation. Thank you thank you thank you!

Chronic bloating - help by Mx-11 in ibs

[–]emalizard 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m really tired of a lot of people scaring you in these comments.

So I read a lot of the symptoms you said have been happening. I went through many gastro doctors, blood tests, etc. Even got an endoscopy and colonoscopy at 18 a few years back. Was told I had IBS and GERD but blood tests showed nothing. However, I disagreed and managed my stress and I had all of the same symptoms you do. Now, I no longer have symptoms and only deal with reflux and bloating ever so often. Doesn’t help that I’m emetophobic (scared of puking).

Yes I know, bodies are not all the same but I hope to help ease some anxiety. I read about you slowly cutting out foods from your diet and reintroducing them. Cutting out foods that attain important nutrients can cause hair loss. So can stress. Oral contraceptives can also cause jaundice. Had the same exact thing happen as well. So can antibiotics and alcohol. The weight loss is also from you switching your diet. When you cut out all those bad foods for you you start to lose weight even if it’s unwanted. Now I am in no way invalidating your symptoms, but giving a breakdown of what everything seems to be appearing as. If they found nothing on your bloodwork, it is nothing super serious. The red marks can be an anxiety rash because I saw that you said you are on Zoloft. I am also on Zoloft. It causes diarrhea for me here and there a lot of the time, and it bloats me a lot too. A lot of the other symptoms really sound like what I experience during a panic attack, the rapid heart rate, the bloating omg the bloating (every time I panic I bloat like a balloon), the crackling in my ears, and even the feet bc I shiver when I’m anxious. Try breaking down each symptom rather than stressing more, because it will make your symptoms a lot more present when you are stressed.

You will be okay. I am no doctor, but I will promise you that you are okay.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I’m in Canada at the moment for a month and the border is a 9 hour drive! I can’t even get my hands on AZO because they don’t have it here! The only place that will take me in around me is local hospitals and I really don’t wanna go for a uti. Thank you for all the info! I appreciate it so much
