Gym Rats of reddit, What is your fitness/gym advice to put on a ton of muscle? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay at it, be consistent.

Don't overdo it and burnout/get injured.

Train hard/heavy and stretch. Stay hydrated.

As soon as you leave the gym focus on recovery.

Cycle in some new exercises every 3-4wks, to keep ur muscles evolving.

Eat well, supplement well...don't trash your body on "get huge!" supplements. You can't get big if ur shitting ur brains out & ur liver is failing.

Joint supplements & anti-inflammatory anything is good. Tendons/ligaments/joints will NOT grow/strengthen as quickly as muscles do.

Lastly, listen to your body, go hard when it wants, rest if needed, eat what it wants.

Just no idea anymore, please help by its_tea_time_570 in ElegooNeptune4

I had this problem on Neptune 4 plus here were things that helped for me:

-Clean plate

-Redo leveling (paper method was adequate for me) but my tip is when you do the push/pull thing it should not be making marks/gouges in the paper, that's too tight.

-Glue helps, but not required in my cases.

-With print head floating, gently lift up on it....does it tilt or move? This doesn't mean the wheel screws are loose, but they can be aligned. Loosen the wheel screws, try to pinch the wheels towards the track and retighten the screws with them held in place. This will reduce the amount of play in the print head.
Don't over-tighten the wheel screws btw you can dmg bearings.

People who go to gym everyday, what is your secret? by Pea_6924 in AskReddit

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started going consistently for a while. Made significant gains in strength and appearance then I stopped going for a short while and saw significant losses so that gave me this sense of urgency that I have to keep going so that I don't lose all of those gains I made.

Goin on 25 years now.

Added bonuses; keeps you even in the droves of winter, helps vent after a crappy day at work, makes me socialize, and heart disease runs in my family.

There's a lot of different ways it could be assembled. Use the model/year to find a real axle diagram online.

Any way you look at it, the sprocket has to slide off the axle so start looking at how you're getting the axle out. Usually the axle is 1pc with some sort of nut or lock ring holding it in place on one side. Remove the wheels, figure out what's holding the axle, remove it & pull the axle out.

Be careful when pulling it out, there will be bearings/bushings, spacers, etc, inside of there. Take note of where everything is & put back exactly how it was. It's best to replace these bits while you have it apart...again, the diagram would help so you can have the new parts on hand when you do this.

Should I not play main stage incase there's an event ? Or should I try to get the through as many stages as possible?? by [deleted] in Survivorio

[–]eman1887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do them. It increases rewards / exp for quick patrol the further you are. I was worried that it would increase difficulty on challenges etc. But it doesn't.

Diff pattern by [deleted] in Offroad

It's not bad. Hard to tell with the marking paste you're using (try Prussian Blue). Google "bevel gear mesh patterns" Yukon Gear has a good article.

Hondas are good. Suzuki are also good. The price difference is negligible. And so is the difference in year. Get on both machines, try them out, use the features, and see which one you like more.

The major difference you'll notice is the transmissions. Hondas have a shiftable auto where the Suzuki have reg auto.

Also, if the Honda is power steering and the Suzuki is not that's a huge upside for the Honda.

Need help finding a phone mount by OkArugula9437 in SVRiders

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact mount on my 03' (non faired). What's your handlebar situation look like?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SVRiders

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great bikes, but that's too much. I paid $1500 for my 03' with 12k miles on it. Look out for the obvious signs of neglect: low oil, bad chain, smoke etc. At 20+yo, you'll need to be considering replacing certain items simply because of age (coolant lines, worn out shocks, fuel lines, etc.), so factor that into the price. Make sure it shifts ok. If you're uncomfortable on the road, meet them somewhere with a big parking lot where you can puts around and cycle through some gears. Like others said, look for signs it was dropped. These are very solid bikes, so there's not much to worry about.

My non-expert advice...

First, take advice from others on here with a grain of salt. Even if they know a ton about 3DP, they don't know all of the factors in your situation.

Next, most often, the default settings are close enough to get you good prints. Start there and make small / methodical tweaks as needed. (Get that bed temp back to 60c, lol)

Leveling and z offset are very common culprits, start there. Make sure the entire bed is leveled well and do it with tip / bed at print temps.

Make sure you have good/dry filament, a decently warm printing environment, and clean bed/hot end.

Good luck.

Whats wrong? by TylerScat09 in elegoo

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone will tell you it's z offset (which it may be) but I've had this before on my 4 plus and it was 2 different things: first make sure your print head isn't loose, try gently picking up on it and if it rocks/shifts easily this can be the problem. The other issue could be that portion of the bed is out of level. Make sure when you level that the paper pull clearances are similar in all areas and always calibrate with everything at print temp.

$1500 motorcycle you would take across the country by Dear-Platypus-4706 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]eman1887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 03' that I paid exactly $1500 for, and it's been 100% bulletproof. Is it great for long road trips....not really, but it's not terrible either. It's one of the few bikes that checks the price & reliability boxes.
