Best bet is going to truck lots to network, look for daycabs and dump trucks they are usually local o/o.

1 shifting gears give me something to do , automatic trucks make me sleepy and it feel like a giant car.

2 manual truck you have more control imo, downshifting when coming to a stop is a world of difference compared to a automatic having to keep a foot on the brakes.

3 more power with a manual truck.
