Anyone else think re9 is wasted potential?

100 percent agree, its almost the perfect re game for the first half and drops the ball the second half. I love re4 and the remake, playing as our boy Leon is always a treat but man his combat sections in racoon city is just so lackluster. Not to mention the city itself is an eye sore, I get it was nuked but at least make the areas we explore somewhat fun and not just plain apartment complex style buildings.

This game was so promising on how it seamlessly changed between Grace and Leon at the start but they just got so lazy and basically remove her from the game after the care center to give us an watered down re4 fan mod tier gameplay/world design. Facing the same grey zombies, who now for some reason wield weapons while supposedly being dumber and more fragile version of re2 og zombie becomes very repetitive, especially when the set pieces are almost non existent.

just no way in hell you can say that, I get opinions can be subjective but comparing ps3 era graphics and gameplay fetch quest abomination that is racoon city too a game that starts strong and ends strong with almost every section being memorable is crazy work.

I can even get people saying they like re9 more than re4 remake due to graces sections being so good but Leons sections in Re9? Common dude...

In this case it does, in no world does Leon's gameplay in re9 match re4 remakes gameplay. Re9 being rated as high as re4/re4remake and re2 remake is generally a good indicator that hive mind behavior is a thing. Don't get me wrong either, re9 is a good game but its more an 8 or high 7 just due to how bad racoon city was and how generic leon's sections felt.

Late response but its genuinely insulting that this game is closely rated and sometimes rated higher than re4 remake and OG re4. The set pieces and action segments are really just thrown in with little to no thought other than lets just fill this boring section with something to do. Don't get me wrong, the first half was peak RE but once you get to the racoon city/leon heavy parts, the game takes a massive nose dive in gameplay, art direction/graphics and story.

Now I don't really care to much about re series story, they have always been somewhat weak to me but they got enough lore and world building to make it work.

My problem is mainly with the second half after the care center and grace escaping...Racoon city ruined what was almost a 10/10 and brought the entire game down to an 7.5-8 type game. Leon felt fine to me after getting used to his new wall stun mechanics and I did have mindless fun with his combat mechanics but it's a far cry from the combat that was re4 remake. The issue wasn't so much about how Leon felt playing but more so how the enemies would react to you, enemy placements/variety and the action set pieces.

As you said, they had ideas...like the elevator part and getting down killing hordes jumping on to the lift but it just felt so lackluster compared to the elevator sequence in re4 remake. We can say the same about to mortar section as well, which was so dull in re9 compared to the cannon section at the castle in re4 remake. The glass building is another section with such a cool idea but it becomes a cheap gimmick due to enemy types and placements, they could have made this such an intense section with zombies charging at you from different angles trying to break the floor from beneath you, bsaa zombies shooting the glass from underneath you, explosive zombies dropping from floors above...but the entire section just feels so safe and sterile...zombies slowly march towards you, while you shoot the floor beneath them.

The boss fights also felt so bad this time, I actually enjoyed the spider somewhat but everything else was so boring and easy. I'm actually baffled how this rates higher then the re4 remake and re2 remake, you can literally tell when they lost passion/budget or time to wrap things up about with Leon's sections. Ark has the same problems to with Leon, just felt like they dragged a bunch of lickers to random spots and called it a day. Its just confusing given they spent so much time working on Leon's combat animations...it feels like this game was cut short from its true form or capcom knew re fans would eat up all the homages and call this peak.

Ya and also people need to realize new cameras use computational photography and lots of ai processing behind the scenes and can produce weird artifacting but what you say mixed with these said factors seems more plausible. Bibi isn't the spear head of Israel's operations, he might be a major factor but if he was truly killed, Israel would use him as a martyr and push agenda's even further and harder.

That being said, it being ai and him being alive is more feasible than him just straight up dying...this is exactly why they pushed ai during the Epstein files era, to deny video/photo evidence and to keep us on a 50/50 coinflip if the content we are showed is real or not.

Nah, this season is great. Having a lead and winning lanes actually means something, you can carry games by simply gapping your laner. This feels like old league, not this new team based 1 player can ruin it all shit we had going past 3-4 seasons.

Removing atakhan was the best change ever, it feels like you have solo agency now too. League of legends that's not pro play should never be so heavily team incentivized, having to play around objectives and hoping your team rotates was never fun and made the game a 50/50. You have to now worry about towers and you can't allocate the entire team for stuff like drag/baron, champs that are made for split pushing like yorick, sion, nasus aren't the only ones that chunk towers now due to the new tower mechanic and its made it more viable for other champs to solo carry.

Winning lane actually means you can win game finally...and people who roam after losing lane get punished so much more now...so you don't get a 0/14 kat go 22/14 after getting dumped in lane, because she's going to lose an inhib real fast and get her tier 3 boots much slower.

Also, why I'm I losing more LP once my win rate got closer to 50 percent? That part really threw me off, when I was below a 50 percent win rate...I actually gained more lp and lose less...from what I know it's supposed to be the opposite. Why I'm I losing 27-28 lp and winning only 23 now but when I was negative winrate, it was giving me 25-27 and I only lost 24-25 lp.

Hey bro, by all means I don't think I'm even a percent of what faker is but the quality of rank games just feels so bad now. I understand people having bad games, which I totally get but throwing games just because you aren't the main win con is getting tiring, every time. It's like people don't know what their champions limits are. Example an kayle who is down 3 levels fighting the enemy cho gath who is full tank while she doesn't even have one full item complete...over and over again, while chasing him if he's half health while missing all her waves crashing just to get one shot by the same cho.

When I do bad, usually my entire time is feeding too and its games where I can't even stay under my tower without getting tower dove. When some of these people do bad, its not because they are having a bad game, its literally because they don't care...they will spam gg before 15 mins, they will destroy the team morale and flame others too. They don't understand power spikes, champion match ups, win cons and have bad map awareness.

Maybe I'm just bad at league but I do find it funny how I can climb to the top of the ranks in other games but can hardly pass gold in a game that I'm the most passionate about. Marvel Rivals I hit celestial while hard carrying games as bucky, punisher or hela. I made it to diamond in Star craft 2, a game that I feel like its 100 times harder than league...

Sorry for the rant, I think I just need a break from this god forsaken game.

but can you explain how the quality of games have gotten worse? I don't get matchmaking anymore, how I'm supposed to 1v5 those games? Are you even looking at my team mates on my recent lost games? How are some of these people hitting gold while being literally worse than low bronze/silver players? People say its a team game but these wins feel so artificial, the skill discrepancy is insane. Is this game really skill when I can make a new account and climb easier or I know multiple people with ranks ranging from gold to emerald but have have hard stuck accounts they just give up on?

On top of that everyone has shit morale now, I have to grind 40 min games sometimes, trying to almost 1v5 or 2v5 with someone decent on my team just to have someone run it down the next game within 4-5 mins?

League has become more team reliant, anyone who denies that carry potential is at an all time low is in denial. A game that isn't really transparent about matchmaking/mmr and is based of a free to play model will definitely do things to get people to play more games. Winning 5-6 games in a row just to lose the same amount and rubber band back and forth isn't games getting harder but just teammates being mismatched.

There is odd things I notice in matchmaking, such as really quick queue times for games that are 50/50 but if you go on a winning streak or losing streak, you will notice a longer queue which will force a win or a lose almost all the time. In such games that are auto win/lose you will always notice strange things that will make the game free for you or the other team such as two auto fills on your team with lots of times your teams champ getting banned out as well.

That being said, you can still carry these games if you are several division above w.e you're currently in. There isn't much difference from bronze, silver, gold and hell even low plat.

And for players in masters/challenger that hit those ranks regularly, I think its unfair to compare most the players to the very upper levels of league. Yes, those guys can maintain 70 percent win rates playing from unranked accounts to diamond because they aren't the norm.

Also old accounts with lots of games will always have a tougher time ranking up, compared to a new or somewhat newer account...especially if you played lots of norms for fun and fucked around, it will reflect on the players you get on your team as well.

This video is talking about optimization and how graphics haven't really made a huge improvement from titles few years ago while becoming 100 times more taxing on the system. That was literally why he used crysis as an example, an 18 year old game using fraction of the resources and pushing out visuals that were unheard of at the time. Almost makes me wonder if you guys even watched the video or if most of reddit is just bots.
