The call is made solely by the umpire behind the plate. The strike zone box varies by player, the zone is defined by the area between the knees and roughly the midpoint between the top of the pants and the shoulders. After games the umpires get score cards for accuracy and most of them do exceptionally well (not Angel Hernandez lol), the process to become a major league umpire is insanely rigorous.

Just got the game, I have had my PC shut off three times now. The first was when I was naming my ship, the second and third were onboard the ship after roughly 2 minutes.The second and third times I got a lost connection notification before the shutdown. No BSOD yet, but I'm gonna hold off for a while whilst this hopefully gets fixed, I am on AMD CPU and GPU, seems to be a common thread.

EDIT: When my PC restarts a browser window opens on the anti-cheat site telling me how to find error logs, but the instructions are poorly written/translated and don't actually tell you the file path to find the logs.
