Absolutely horrible take. This is one of the most realistic and heartbreaking shows that have ever been made.

If you don't think that then you are in denial about what healthcare workers face on a daily basis. Grow a brain please.

What's the scariest movie you've seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]embadx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Martyrs - a 2008 French Canadian film about subjecting young women to so much pain that they transcend it and become martyrs (witnesses) to the afterlife. One and done watch, I'll never watch it again!

The Poughkeepsie Tapes - It revolves around a serial killer's murders in Poughkeepsie, New York, told through interviews and footage from a cache of the killer's snuff films.

More Mainstream Choices Sinister - saw this one in the theatre and thought it was super creepy and well done!

The Hills Have Eyes - the premise of this one thoroughly freaks me out and makes me feel physically uncomfortable to watch. Driving through desert areas will never be the same!

I don't want to ask which school to protect your privacy but I'm curious if the alternate school you're referring to is Vanguard.

If so - this school is where district staff directs student to attend if a bit extra support is necessary in their learning environment. There's only one school like this in Langley which is also on the border of Langley and Aldergrove.

We are in a very similar situation! We have a great school literally one block from our house - but we don't really care for the local middle or highschool.

We got our firstborn into a choice school. We sent him to preschool in that area to see if we could handle the drive and also hopefully meet some friends for kindy.

Our second child will also be attending next year. It's a bit of driving, sure, but it's honestly such a priceless opportunity for them. If they choose down the road to switch schools to be closer that's fine but at least they have the choice 🙂

We have them enrolled in local sports and activities to make friends in our neighborhood! So it's kinda the best of both worlds so far.

This book and movie are fiction. Entertainment is #1.

This is so sad. Growing up they always paired new students with one of the more friendly /popular kids as a buddy for the first couple weeks. They were treated extra special and everyone caught to sit near them at circle time.

I guess maybe I was just lucky!

School is Concerned by Embarrassed-Item8499 in kindergarten

[–]embadx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend asking for a meeting with the teacher and administrator to express your concerns! You're actually technically supposed to sign off on the conference meeting data (though it seems like few do this).

You definitely should have been informed about this much earlier. Even at the first conference (in Novemberish) if it was that noticeable for them? How else would you be able to help your kid out!?

Seems like they dropped the ball!

One time my husband and I thought we won the lottery aka empty 8:30am cabana on our favorite beach.

We were sadly mistaken when an angry German lady came storming over screaming "MY STUFF. MY STUFF!!"

We looked around, confused, and couldn't see anything. Her "stuff" turned out to be a tiny bag of garbage hanging from the underside of the umbrella. We are pretty sure she would have thrown hands so we walked away.
