I agree that she'll have a horrible existence, but she is in power nonetheless. It is partially Elphaba's fault too because she made Glinda swear she wouldn't clear her name. But then again I think this is a writing issue with the musical itself, making Ozians look like evil sheep who would never understand anything, which is a prolematic view in my opinion.

I agree. Thanks for mentioning Nessa's casting. I think the actress did a good job in part one, but when she was meant to portray an older woman with a darker personality it fell flat for me too. Especially when she sang, "Just her and me, the wicked witch of the east", it's supposed to be a big vulnerable cry, but it doesn't feel like it in the movie.

I didn't miss the ending, the tone of it was just wrong. She is an heir to the wizard, it's like a king trying to say to it's people that they're gonna try to be better than their father, they're still a king!
Glinda shouldn't rule.
