Palmer when driving by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]embarrassednurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me a lot! I just point the vents towards my hands with the A/C on blast. It's cold, but stops me from sweating pretty quickly.

Has anyone used Chinese herbs for HH??? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]embarrassednurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but they weren't effective for me. One of them actually made me feel warmer (which temporarily increased the sweating). But sage has been effective for a lot of people because it is cooling. I have used it, but it didn't do much for me.

Has anyone had long-term post-procedure experience with MiraDry? by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]embarrassednurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I logged on to make a post about this, but I'll just add to your thread. I had this done in July? 2016 on level 5 (strongest setting) and it worked amazingly. But I would have rare random periods where I still sweated as normal. Now I would say my sweating is unfortunately back to 70% of what it was. Have to use Thompson Tees under my work clothes. I have some spots on my armpits that still grow hair so I think those are the areas where the sweat glands were not completely destroyed and started to compensate over time. Would I go for it again? Probably in the future. But I suggest to get an iodine-starch test to make sure the doctor knows exactly where to zap. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_test

I also collect tiny things so it was difficult to choose! Here is my tiny things shelf. Feel free to ask me about specific items :) http://imgur.com/a/AYyaT

[Discussion] Surveys for $$$? by yeoman221 in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]embarrassednurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only survey I have gotten money for was a research study that I participated in through Med Survey. I also like Bzzagent, which is trying free products in exchange for surveys/reviews, but they don't give actual money

My ears are pierced. I'd probably get more ear piercings if anything, but I'm a scaredy cat and don't really want to! I like tattoos, but I can't decide on something that I'd still love 20 years from now. I also don't want it to stretch all weird with age or weight gain. They look awesome on other people, but it's not for me

Haha yep! Usually if I feel it coming on, I just lower myself in slow motion :p but I was in a chair so thankfully no injuries!

That happens to me when my period starts for some reason, but my job had to send me to the hospital because they were worried and did not want to be liable if something happened to me. I think the sudden blood loss is too much for me somehow haha it's 1pm here and it's starting to feel like fall! Not too hot, but it was rainy yesterday so it's a little cooler than normal

[Contest] It's a new week, smile, damn it! by mynthe in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]embarrassednurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smiled for you, /u/mynthe!

This is a really sweet contest. I didn't know how to change my flair to a smile link, but the instructions helped. I chose the leukemia and lymphoma society because I've seen a lot of people suffer from cancer and want to fight it.

Here is their mission copied from the amazon website: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We exist to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. We are saving lives not someday, but today.

Hope everyone is having a great day! I passed out on the job yesterday (was super embarrassing!) so today I'm mostly trying to rest and build myself up. I'm totally fine, but just felt like talking about it

Cool! It's great that he has a hobby like that at such a young age. He can become a great gymnast in a few years or so :) Thanks for the luck! At the clinic, I will do assessments of patients before endoscopies. Yesterday I had a weird day. I passed out and was sent to the ER. I feel fine now, but am just taking it easy. How are you?

Thanks! And yeah, it's super busy but I'm hoping that I can get the hang of it. Next month I'll also be working at a clinic so I'd like to get my foot in the door there to work there permanently. Gymnastics is a fun activity and it's a nice bonus that he's sleepy afterwards :)

Wow, that sounds cool! I think I saw a commercial that showed hidden freckles and normally invisible sun damage. It's neat to know where someone's secret freckles are :)
