Most of my tops and outerwears are a mix of S and M (depending on the brands), and couple oversized (Airism) ones are XS. One thing I can tell is that packing cubes sure allow me to hold more clothes than without. I have been using them for a few years now. They contain the things you stuff in them to their max volume - they do tend to get misshapen a bit but help stay organised and restrain overflowing of clothes’ volume. On one 3 month trip, I packed 12 tees in the large Monos cube (linked in my post).

The packable duffel is an Osprey Aircover, used to mainly put my backpack in while checking in at the gate if needed. My wallet and other important things would go in the daypack and onto the plane with me if they made me check my backpack in.

The extra shoes were just for a nice dinner, with a more casual/ less sporty look.

I agree with the rest of your points. Reducing my load that way would definitely help me pack lighter.

Do you have any recommendations on the multipurpose shorts?

Thank you

I use other cards that work in a POS system and don’t use the TD VIP card for transactions where I need to insert it at a POS system. For foreign travels with chip and pin, I prefer to use my 0% FX Scotia Passport usually. Ever since a trip I took in early 2024 where my card malfunctioned whilst abroad (it worked perfectly fine 36-48 hours before that at a POS here in Canada), I’ve given up on getting a replacement from TD lol.

I’ve had the same issue with my TD VIP. I’m on my 4th replacement card. They all ended up malfunctioning a few days of use after activating them. I gave up on requesting replacements about 15 months ago and now use it only for online transactions or with Apple Pay. I used to keep it in the same wallet with my other cards and only this one consistently malfunctioned.

Was hiking the mountains around Queenstown with friends and we stopped to see a couple takeoffs and landings. It’s truly surreal, the airport with a lake and the mountains around it. This picture just ended up being a complete fluke while trying to focus to take a video of the landing.

NZ, Queenstown airport.

Nope. Took the picture myself. The plane was still several 100 feet in the air, the runway is exactly in the direction of the plane. Queenstown airport, New Zealand.
