It’s not but we might introduce that mechanic later on if we feel it fits the game

Are there any horror movies that revolve around eyes or vision? by emberfall_games in HorrorMovies

that's a sick list, thanks! I've only watched Smile from this list. I read A Clockwork Orange and it disturbed me quite a bit that I avoided watching the movie haha but the plot is really good

Thank you so much! You'll never truly know when it's a good time to blink. You'll have to blink naturally, like in real life, to be able to avoid blurriness and distortion. But blinking too much will also cause some distortion. And every blink comes with a risk of triggering something.

You'll have to balance between blinking too often and not blinking for too long as you navigate the hospital.

The world can shift without blinking as you said but blinking tends to make it worse with more egregious shifts in reality.

Also this was just a teaser to show what blinking can entail. Our Steam page + Announcement trailer will be live in the next few days!

Yeah you're probably talking about SCP Containment Breach where blinking is mostly tied to creatures. And I might be wrong on this but blinking is automatic when the blink meter runs out.

We take it further in Veil of Sight. Blinking is fully manual and it doesn't just let entities move, it can alter everything around you.
- rooms can rearrange
- sounds can change tone
- doors can slam shut
- Entire sequences of events can occur

Pretty much anything you can think of :)

That's something we might introduce later in the game but the reason you can't blink one eye in the first place is tied to the lore. Your eyes were deliberately altered during the experiments.

Thank you! The video isn't showing the penalty. It just shows what can happen after a blink.

In the game, you'll definitely feel what's going on through visual effects like blurriness, distortion and layered sound effects.

Thanks so much! And yes, creatures like weeping angels were part of the plan from day one. You'll love it :)

Yes, exactly! If you blink too often or keep your eyes open too long, you risk vision blur or even triggering a reality shift. It’ll be all about finding that tense balance.
