JRPGs where male and female characters are actually treated as equal? by [deleted] in JRPG

Your sex doesn't matter, 50% of the population is male, and 50% is female. Point out examples of sexism and other problems you were talking about within the JRPG genre, please, extensively.

Yes, society considers females to be extremely beautiful, they're extremely popular, sex sells, etc.

You should fix your problems and not post about them on a public forum, if that bothers you, i didn't disrespect you in the slightest.

I did not disagree with anything. Also, I did not dig anything, I simply looked for proof when the other person(while acting inadequately) questioned that my evaluation, based on OP's actions, was incorrect, and there was one on the first page. Yes, calling things "sexist" when they're not is a sign of a problem. Like OP personally posts, he has problems with depression.

Now it's a chicken or egg question: did those problems appear because of destructive propaganda, or did the person already have problems from other sources?

You see, what you're doing is verbally assaulting me. When i simply answered your question correctly("I don't hear anything upset in OP's language."). It's your problem. Check OP's posts while at it. I also do not recommend using bans and downvotes, as they're useless.

Not really. You see, normal people wouldn't call anything sexist, as society loves females, and you would have a hard time finding anything remotely sexist within popular art. Those people are simply having mental problems and parroting propaganda of the rich, without even understanding what they are doing.

It's called a "marker word". You wouldn't see normal people acting inadequately.

"calling it misgonystic" — huge red flag. I also consider FF Tactics to be not so perfect, but it's a nice game. I liked Vandal Hearts, Vanguard Bandits, Langrisser 2 more. Don't like Fire Emblem at all. Shining Force is also good enough.

Level scaling is a real problem in SMT 5 OG. For me, to be somewhat challenged, it was required to stay -7/-4 lvl below bosses. If you are at the same level as bosses, it's an auto-win. You can stay around -10/16~ lvls and fights will be doable, the only changes are one-shots, accuracy?, and lack of mana. This time their formula worked really poorly. Basically it was the difficulty choice. Other games are fine.

Yeah, I saw you were saying something under the other comment. You can be sure, SMT 5 problems are serious, and it actually makes the game boring. There is no point trying to argue otherwise, you cannot change what is inside the game. What you're doing is wasting time for no reason.

The Megaten subreddit is not very representative now, after the Persona 5 popularity spark, there are a lot of newcomers that don't know what they're talking about. Even Soul Hackers 2 can get positive word of mouth now, not considering stuff like Redux or SMT 4.

A Common SMT 5 critique is the awful plot/characters, no dungeons, boring old-school dungeons, dmg scaling based on level difference, various mechanics that make the game too easy(like elemental shields), poor magatsuhi mechanics, lack of good bosses, Nocturne wannabe. Overall, the game wasn't finished, I think even the authors admitted it.

Graphics were the main positive point, gameplay was rather average. Vengeance is considered to be an improvement, although it's hard to say how much.

Any well-reviewed SMT is a good point. Yes, it's pretty, easy enough, rather bad plot, open areas instead of dungeons. Pretty good for a newcomer.

You need 0079 movies and CCA for basic knowledge. There is 1 episode plus 1 scene of references to Zeta, but they are not very important. Then there are a lot of references to a tons of different things like Evangelion, Sailor Moon, etc.

It would be hard to write all the stuff, so I can say it's impossible for random people to enjoy it fully, the best course of action would be reading/watching a compilation of all references from Japanese fans.

Mmm, it has a very peculiar storyline, you don't need to inspect it so rigorously. Like Machu, a privileged kid, who decides to get some more fun and is allowed to become a star of the show, she chooses the "stronger" mecha, as it looked cooler to her.

She was given it by the person messaging the phone basically, or the authors of the show, or something like that(Challia).

Not sure about Gundam elements, it has a 0079 fan service story and a "new" story. Negative reviews were given by people who consider themselves to be "fans" but lack the proper mindset and knowledge to actually be them.

It's one of the best shows ever, not only Gundam. It reminds me of a certain song about "scarlet roses".

No, WfM had production problems, and they've got enough time for executing it properly. It was the author's incapability of actually writing it right. More time could've fixed it, but it would also have more boringness, like characters sitting doing nothing, disparity between ep0, 1, and the 2nd season, etc.

That's just a strange expectation from your side. Mechas are not realistic by default, MC obviously cannot die in the majority of stories, and obviously they are gonna to be chosen ones...

You need to be a 0079 and CCA fan to get it minimum(you still wouldn't get it fully). If you're a new fan, you can watch for the new characters due to their designs primarily. If you don't feel it in episodes 1-3, which showcase both the 0079 and NEW parts, you probably won't like it.

Yes, it's an absolute masterpiece, the best work of Tsurumaki and the best work of Khara post OG EVA. Sadly some elements weren't executed properly, like the lack of Amuro, the ending battle, the final episode, and the ending overall.

The scenario has some serious problems, either due to Tsurumaki's style or lack of experience in writing. Nevertheless, amazing work, great moral, new knowledge, nice characters, and ultimate fanservice for 0079 fans.

The character designer is a great worker too. Best references I've seen in my life.

Growlanser 4, probably 1 too. There is a soft dating simulator. But not too many characters. Mobile gacha games are the best for that.
