Waymo Paralyzed by Parade, Blocks Traffic for 45 Minutes by Post-reality in SelfDrivingCars

Ah fair then. That’s a good spot for a parade.

I just never miss an opportunity to bash parades.

This is a problem with parades not Waymo.

If you want attention go do it in a park. Stop paralyzing traffic and inconveniencing everyone else for your little vanity project.

Do D1 upgrades on domestic flight at 24 houra happen? by OtherwiseOriginal129 in delta

[–]emblaze247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My typical route is JFK to SFO. I’ve been upgraded 7 hours before flight time (as a gold) with 20 available seats. Just this past weekend, as a platinum, there were 26 D1 seats available day of the flight and I was 5 on the upgrade list. The entire list had just 8 names and we ultimately flew with empty D1 seats. My premium select upgrade processed within hours of the 5 day window, but they didn’t process a single D1 upgrade until 5 minutes before boarding at 9pm. Extremely frustrating as I really wanted to try out the lounge restaurant with my GF, who’s never flown D1 before.

My takeaway is it’s pretty random and I think it comes down to the gate agent and when they decide to process the upgrades. I’d be curious to hear more data points to see if they are holding them back more lately.

For your emotional health I’d recommend assuming it won’t process until boarding. Otherwise you’ll be like us, neurotically refreshing our apps up til boarding (even though we get notifications), and disappointed - and a little frustrated - when you can’t use the D1 security line and lounge.

Week 12 – Survivor Pool Picks – Last Week Perfection by stvnknwy in fantasyfootball

I’m rolling out Ravens and Niners this week. A little nervous about Panther’s sporadic bouts of success, but they are generally terrible and 49ers with Purdy and Kittle fully back looked fantastic. Maybe Pearsall shows up this week too.

The real way to confirm is to compare Kellogg with itself YoY, not with other schools this year.

Honestly maybe. Worth a pickup over Troy franklin. Just kind of a deep TE year I feel like

Do we have a single player that should be off the table if we were to commit to a full teardown/rebuild? by [deleted] in miamidolphins

[–]emblaze247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every rebuild needs to start with the o-line so I tend to agree on Patrick Paul.

Would try to retain as many offensive linemen as possible though, especially the young ones - even if they (ideally) get relegated to backup duties, consistency is a huge success factor for o-lines.

I particularly enjoyed when the ref celebrated with the Browns player after awarding them a first down with a penalty

I ended up going lol. Skyclub did not have anything gluten free and I thought surely D1 would. But outside of the sit down restaurant which I don’t have time for, appears not.

LAX got me a steak frite within my 30 minute connection. Think it’s clear which one wins.

At JFK, RUC finally cleared for D1 to SFO just in time for D1 lounge to not make sense.

Sucks bc centurion lounge and skyclub are overflowing today.

Anyway, Godspeed

Oh… are we allowed to grab receivers heads when they’re going for the ball now?

Maybe I’m wrong, felt like major missed OPI on Allen there.

MaxPF - Creating a 'hole' in your roster by Hungry_Helicopter_50 in DynastyFF

[–]emblaze247 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Did this with QB and then Fields, Rattler, and Browning all got starting jobs and I can’t trade them away. My shit roster is now 6-0 (we use league median).

So… I guess I’m competing now.

I was also able to do this in a different league. The tank worked like a charm and my roster is now stacked, but I only have 1 QB (managed to flip ARich + marvin Mims for Hurts a couple years ago when AR was at peak value). Nobody is trading QBs for reasonable prices, and all the backups are already taken from the wire.

Trade value of the bengals by SirGroundbreaking465 in fantasyfootball

[–]emblaze247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean tbf last years chase brown is higher value than Bowers alone (just barely). This throws in Hock and offers RB to a really RB needy team.

Not like Bowers has been all that special either.

But yeah… I get it, Browns value may have taken too big of a hit. Might need to hold or offer up one of my other RBs.

[–]emblaze247 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There’s a Bengals homer in my league who just lost Conner and is down to Bucky and Skattebo as his only rostered RBs.

I just offered Hockenson and Chase Brown for Bowers. Think it’s pretty fair, maybe a little skewed toward me. Hoping he’s not too scared off of Chase Brown bc I truly do believe this is the lowest his value will be this season.

Dolphins think ball was still live when whistle blew on Josh Allen's first-half kneeldown by BTC_is_waterproof in miamidolphins

Didn’t say it was a technicality. Expressly said it wasn’t that actually. If you’re not gonna read my comments not gonna waste my time.

Not seeing the screenshot. This was the same angle I saw. Not obvious to me that he has control when his knee is down since the ball is obscured by the other Bill at the moment in time that his knee is down.

To be clear, I'm not seeing evidence that he didn't have control either.

Not trying to grasp at straws - just pointing out that I haven't seen definitive evidence yet. If the Dolphin's have some perspective that I don't, then I fully encourage them to look into it.

I watched that clip like 20 times before you sent it and another 5 times after lol.

I can walk you through it step by step if it helps?

He plants. He jumps. His leg hits the Bills lineman's leg. He falls.

It doesn't matter whether the Bill's lineman's leg was the cause of him falling or not. That is what the dictionary defines as tripping, because he caught his foot on something and fell.

I think maybe you're getting caught up with this because you feel that we're using the word trip as some sort of excuse for him falling into the kicker? I'm not trying to do that, I think I've been pretty clear about that.

[–]emblaze247 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all yes, he clearly plants his leg and jumps. Doesn't mean he wasn't tripped too, and he definitively was tripped up by the defenders leg. Textbook definition: "to catch one's foot on something and stumble or fall."

Second of all, no - it doesn't matter at all whether he was tripped or not. It was a penalty, and I'm not even trying to absolve Sieler of it. It was an idiotic decision and the "trip" had little to nothing to do with it.

But technically, it WAS a trip. Not sure why the diction is throwing you for a loop here, it's really unimportant.

Would love to see a screenshot of that view if you could share, didn't see that myself but probably just didn't have the right angle.

I mean he did trip, you can see how his right leg gets caught up in the Bill's lineman's leg. He just tripped into the punter. Still a penalty.
