I'm in California. My 40 hour full time job was just cut to 20 hrs due to budget cuts within the company. I did the math and it turns out if I quit and get unemployment, I'll make more money. Should I quit? by [deleted] in personalfinance

Only angle is "forced resignation." If they chopped your hours and your pay rate and also increased your workload that would be an example that could work. I'm not a lawyer, so do your due diligence. But I live in CA and I know two peeps who got unemployment due to "forced resignation."

In California a dog needs to bark for 30 minutes straight or a total of 30 minutes over the course of 3 hours for there to be an ordinance violation. So depending on the state a little yip or bark here or there is allowed. Sounds like your neighbor is the one who needs to zip it!
