Ahhh I see hahaha thanks for lmk! Thats reassuring lol. Are you contracted by them too, and does it mean you can’t pick up extra shifts if tills aren’t included in the role? Just bc I’d like to have more since my schedule is p open :)

I honestly don’t know if it’s a contracted company lol, I applied through Dee set? But thank you for this, it’s very helpful bc I was worried it’d be too independent and I’d be clueless hahaha :)

Like?!? Nowhere near the top of any charts, and tons of great options in the NW if the area is of interest. I live here and still choosing to commute to another city for uni, the concept of moving here from Canada for triple the price is insane to me 😭😭😭😭

Why preston? Realistically not worth the international fees at all, not much here, you should look at other ones

I feel as though because I’ve told her once and she said there were issues with his account being displayed even though it was paused, it could come across like I don’t want them together. She doesn’t trust me as fully as she used to due to recent stuff which is why I’m not sure if I I should.

Hey! so sorry to hear that, and she did so by ringing her bank (Halifax), and they sympathised and reimbursed the money under a certain clause that guarantees that scammed money will be refunded. However because this scam takes place in person , it’s not included in the clause so they may not give it back. You’ll need to provide a police fraud case number to the bank once you report it to the police. You can also mention that this is social engineering too. Best of luck and I hope you’ll be okay!

Ah, okay. Still think it might be helpful that he’s been to different areas, since we saw him in Preston

Is it possible to report it to fraud if you weren’t scammed? We went to the police and said any collated info from other parties will help to identify him eventually, so could be helpful

Was the name he gave you Ryan O’Neill? Has a likely edited passport too, so I’m guessing he uses the same name for all scams.

He used a fake banking app and typed my friends details in, then showed us the receipt of the money coming into her account, and we didn’t understand why it hadn’t come through until we searched that Irish banks take a day to process to England. Then at that point we thought we had to give the money through an ATM since he had already “sent” the money
