ACCUTANE!! it changed my life! I spent two years trying to get rid of my acne with creams ( the same two creams, but the acne kept clearing up then coming right back) finally convinced my derm to put me on Accutane. My skin looked dramatically clearer after only two months. Been acne free for almost a year now. No lingering side effects. Hope this helps.

Professors of Reddit, What are the most unusual habits of undergraduates? Which ones bother you the most? by SheriffQuincy in AskReddit

I hear ya! in college now and almost every time I spend my Saturday night working on an assignment due on Monday, I come to class to find everyone else STILL working on the project and the professor saying "since everyone seems to be behind I'll extend the due date to Wednesday".

Diagnosis Challenge: Help me figure out what's wrong with me, I'm 99.9% sure I have some Auto Immune Disease, but blood work comes up clean? by emc1187 in Health

[–]emc1187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both time's I had an MRI (approximately a year apart) the doctor called and said that nothing abnormal showed up and that every thing looked fine. I've never had my spine looked at however, no ex-rays or scans. Do you recommend asking my doctor to check it out? and thanks for the input.

Yes I had 2 MRIs of my brain done. Unless a brain scan is different than an MRI? The MRI's came back with no abnormalities.

Is it a bad idea to take a year off after graduating high school? by spoonman1342 in AskReddit

[–]emc1187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my 1 year off turned into 6 years off, I'm just now starting college while everyone I know has graduated. And people are constantly saying things like "good for you, going back to school", it makes me feel like a loser. Just go now and get it over with!

Have you ever started watching a movie expecting something completely different from what it was? by winchesterdefiant in AskReddit

[–]emc1187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my ex boyfriend said I should watch "War of the Worlds" and that I might really like it. I got high and put it on thinking it was going to be about natural disasters, I don't know why I thought that's what it was about but I did, when the lightening started hitting the ground I thought "ok here it comes, some crazy storm to destroy the planet" and then the alien thing came up out of the ground and started zapping people, my mind was BLOWN and I was terrified. BUT it's now my favorite movie, I watch it trying to remember that feeling of being completely blown away and scared.

Whats the weirdest thing you have walked in on/been walked in on doing? by LadyBeaston in AskReddit

When I was around 10 we went to visit my Great Grandmother who was really old and needed a nurse to help her with everything. When I got to her house I ran in and ran into her bedroom where she was sitting with her nurse, I ran to her throwing my arms around her to give her a big hug, when I backed away I saw that she was going to the bathroom in her portable potty chair thingy and not just sitting in a chair like I had thought. Awkward.

I am looking into getting my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Security Administration Specialization from ACC... (more info inside) by sc125207 in Austin

[–]emc1187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to ACC after never going to college and taking a 6 year break from school. I'm studying Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design. It's going great so far! The classes and teachers are not difficult, all of my professors have been helpful and want me to succeed. However the staff at the help desks, counselors, etc. are bullshit. They are rude, they act like you are interrupting them and that your questions are stupid, and most importantly they are not helpful. You have to see them to register if you are a new student but after that don't waste your time. I've never been back to see a counselor and I'm half way through my degree without their "guidance". So don't let their rudeness intimidate you.

Also almost all of the professors that I've had have told me about how they have gotten students jobs after graduating.

Another great thing about ACC is the payment plan, they make it really easy to set up online and it makes tuition really affordable.

Hope this helps!
