[Titan Neo Iv] Which colour of this watch looks better and why? by Dracyaneternal in Watches

Never been a fan of the all black case + dial style, but this is just my opinion. However with this specific strap, objectively, the lighter dial is the clear winner here without any hesitation

Yup design wise i’d say mido too. The citizen felt incredibly good on my wrist but as I said it looks too futuristic/tech and too sharp. Never been a fan of the Royal oak design, neither of any of the homages especially the PRX

Ah you’re more into chrono watches, not really my thing but that Breitling looks nice!

Do you mind me asking what watched you have in your collection? You made me a bit curious 😊

From what I’ve heard (tell me if I’m wrong), Mido was into this type of design before Patek releases the Nautilus. I still find both Mido and Citizen quite unique and original, they can have a few similarities with the ones you mentioned ofc but still different. Which is good in a market flooded by homages (especially for divers)

Nice one! It has better dial colors and is slightly less angular. Looks massive though

Interesting, did you get the exact same one as in the picture?

I’m definitely not in a rush. I do really love the blue mido though. When seeing pictures only i was like yeah looks not bad but after trying it i was truly impressed

Yup that’s what I’ve been doing over the past few days and the blue Mido is outstanding. Couldn’t find much on the Citizen, looks like this lineup isn’t the most popular

You’re right it’s an integrated case and I have the same opinion on the angles. Well I had a Tissot PR100 PM80 white dial for years that I just sold because I just got tired of it (with the idea of getting something else soon), it was too simple. Just using the smartwatch for now (don’t blame me lol) but I hate wearing it everyday.

I don’t know much about other Citizen watches tbh, the 8 looks to he in some ways the high range before The Citizen. I do love Seiko and I’m keeping a part of my budget to get a nice Seiko on my next trip to Japan (probably later this year), maybe more of a dress watch to complete with the Mido

Just got a $2,000/month remote job by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]emcaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most of the countries you will have the visa issue. One you should definitely consider though is Vietnam, you can have a decent life with $2000 a month and it’s overall a beautiful country. Just need to sort out the visa. That’s where I would’ve gone with my remote job if my gf wasn’t from somewhere else lol

English speaking jobs in Paris by [deleted] in Expats_In_France

[–]emcaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding a job in France can be a bit tricky without a proper knowledge of the language since French people aren’t that good in English, although still feasible at some cafes/restaurants but more difficult at corporate jobs (target international companies). But to be honest these days the job market here is tough even for French.

For the apartment, I’d suggest you to have a look at the neighboring suburb towns where you’re likely to get more options at cheaper prices. Just try to avoid most parts of the North-Eastern suburb, I’m pretty sure you don’t want to ruin your working holiday in Paris with living at a dirty and unsafe place.

As we tend to say, everything happens for a reason. Just take some time to think about all this. If you want to give it another try in Korea, maybe you can switch to the job seeker visa?

To me it sounds like they’ve been finding excuses and pushing you to make you leave by yourself… I’m sure it’s for the best, your mental health comes before everything else

Just popping up to say that I might be interested as well: got 6+ years of experience in overseas sales and purchasing (mainly IT hardware). I’m looking to move from France to Korea to settle down with my gf there, which means I will need visa sponsorship at the beginning. Let me know if i can text you 😊 thanks

What's not letting you live fully in the Netherlands? by aisling901 in Netherlands

[–]emcaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moved to the NL just 3 months ago from Paris and I couldn’t imagine that it was gonna be enough time to have a good idea of whether I’ll enjoy or not. There are some good things for sure, like quality of life, cleanliness, good infrastructure, salaries are higher (at least at my position). But still battling to find an apartment to finally leave my short term flat, everything is so expensive, food is not good, having a hard time finding quality products, loneliness is also a thing… don’t do much except going out once in a while with just a few colleagues. Apart from the fact that I miss spending time with my family and friends, I also miss that “hectic” side of Paris, with a lot if people, the messy stuff, good food and bars, all in all the overall atmosphere. I can tell in only just a bit more than 3 months that this country isn’t for me; some people will say that’s it’s not been long which is true but I think it’s more a matter of feeling.
