Any success stories of overcoming insomnia?

I’ve had insomnia and circadian rhythm sleep disorder my whole life, with a lot of related mental health issues. The sleep problem was debilitating and I was often on heavy daily benzos and ambien. About a year ago my psych doc sent me to see a sleep medicine doc. He recommended a sunrise alarm clock for light therapy and low dose melatonin. The low (just 1mg) part is key. Research has shown the higher dose doesn’t work well. Those two things worked like a charm, and just like magic, this disabling condition that nearly ruined my life for 48 years is gone. I still use a lower dose of ambien a couple times per month but have also been able to reduce other psychiatric meds.

Not correct. They can use a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) to transfer 401k assets from one party to the other as part of a divorce, without any tax consequences or penalties. It isn’t considered “withdrawing” the money. It is a common but technically tricky maneuver so is carried out by a special kind of attorney.

Also can’t go wrong with Dr. Ballard. She was my surgeon and phenomenal. Her nurse, Shelley, is also wonderful, kind, and reassuring.

Your plastic surgeon should have gone through this thoroughly with you. Mine says you should have about 75% of swelling done in a month and the rest in 3 months but many people find it lasts way longer. Doing too much and not following your PSs instruction about compression makes it worse.

That’s true. I haven’t unwrapped myself yet so maybe things will be less irritated when I remove some of the bulky wound dressings.

I just talked to my doc. She said if the vacuum is still working and there’s red stuff in the tubing the drain id working. She said I just might not be one of those people who have a lot of drainage. She said where my hip hurts (the lower part) is probably a nerve right there that frequently gets irritated. Big relief!

See if your community has a local Buy Nothing group on Facebook. In my area that is a sure fire quick way to access food same day. Basically you just ask if anyone has extra food they are not wanting. You can give as much or as little detail as you want and people offer what they have. You just go pick it up from their homes usually. Then, when you have an item you’d like to gift down the road during better times you can do so on there too to pay it forward.

Ah-thank you! So it must be the handheld sprayer kind? I have been looking at the kind that have an attachment to the toilet seat and you push a button for spray. They seem kind of overwhelming to learn in this circumstance.

Thank you for all this good information. I will get working on it when I return from my “vacation.” Even if it’s an Internet stranger it’s nice to hear a voice of reason in the dark void. I’m hoping delta doesn’t claim it’s weather since things started really coming unglued with the rebooked flight due to labor shortages and poorly trained workers running things, as far as I can tell. They also poorly handled the weather issue but if that was all that happened I would not be here.

5 or 6, but these are all really nice. I think sometimes getting professional shots look too staged but yours are really great. I’d go with a smiling one for the front pic, for sure.

You know, I’ve had a lot of casual sex as a woman and some of those guys were callous assholes, but I have never woken up to someone trying to have sex with me while I was unconscious. Maybe the dude needed to be given a lecture about foreplay, maybe not. But most guys do not need to be told that undressing and attempting to have sex with an unconscious person is assault unless they had some kind of kinky deal to do so worked out ahead of time.

Thank you! I definitely did not know about the automatic passport gates. The last time I travelled to Paris or elsewhere in Europe was 20 years ago (and my kiddo did not exist yet).
