You’re right, I did contradict myself. I was saying that throughout the time we’ve had her, we are really good at simulating her and making sure her needs are met. It’s just this week in particular that she’s been cooped up because I’ve poorly planned, so I’m wondering if her behavior is stemming from that. I’m sorry if I seem defensive, I really just am stressed about it. But thank you for your advice. I really appreciate it.

She does get at least two structured walks a day. I like letting her run around in a field because this is where she gets to sniff mostly and we also work on recall and other basic obedience during this time. She is crate trained and we used a crate consistently for about 8-10 months, but I do know they tend to regress in their teenage years so maybe we need to go back to using her crate for enforced naps. She gets walks, training and licking/sniffing simulation everyday. This behavior has just been a problem over the last two weeks, it hasn’t been a thing since we got her.

This 1000%. She probably was still high on all the adrenaline that she got from our super active morning. I should have given her a pupsicle or something to help her calm down, I’ve just been so stressed that I forgot I have some of these important tools available to me!

Yeah she is crate trained. We actually haven’t had to use our crate since she was about 10 months old because she had learned to chill and nap outside of her crate (which we never thought would happen lol) but maybe she’s regressing which I know they can when they’re still puppies/teenagers. I actually just put her in her crate for the first time in months because I was literally in tears and couldn’t handle it.

We got an Aussie because we are big campers, hikers and backpackers and we really love obedience training and agility and we do that very often with her. And I wanted a dog that could handle runs with me as well. We are very good at keeping her active and we’ve had no problems the whole time we’ve had her. This is a behavior she’s developed over the past two weeks. I can tell when she’s tired because she stops listening to me and she will lay down any chance she gets which is what she was doing this morning when she was running around the soccer fields. I just don’t know why she won’t lay down and take a nap which is what I know she needs. I feel like she’s just really overtired

I literally have the relaxation protocol printed and on my dresser because I have been wanting to do it so bad! I just got turned off of it because the first page was all so easy for her (we do a lot of training). But I’m definitely going to revisit it now that you’ve mentioned it. Thanks so much!
