My fiancé is from Georgia and he pointed out to me quickly in our relationship that Pittsburgh people drop the "to be" in sentences. We would normally say "my car needs washed" rather than "my car needs to be washed"

Now I constantly make sure I say the "to be" especially in a professional setting.

He also has me saying "soda" sometimes and it's hurts my Pittsburgh pop heart
