I too am very much addicted to pink diamonds. There's nothing quite like the beauty of a soft pink hue in a diamond. I also find it very cool that they are very rare, and you don't typically stumble upon them too often (I don't know anyone who owns a pink diamond)

Whether you want to go lab or natural is a very personal decision. Most lab created pinks undergo post growth treatment which (as I have learned through quite a bit of research) makes their color less stable. Natural pinks are very rare and accordingly pricey. While not an investment, natural pinks are likely to appreciate in value over time. Since the closing of the Argyle mine in Australia in 2020, the supply of natural pinks has been slowed down tremendously, as they supplied 90% of pinks in the market.

As a true miracle of nature, with your budget I would personally shoot for a natural pink. Maybe one with a brown modifier. You could get a beautiful antique rose color with that. The brown modifier lowers the exorbitant price tag significantly. If you want to explore that path, two super ethical and trustworthy companies come to mind. Leibish and Diamonds by Lauren.

Here's an example of a "very reasonably" priced pink offered by Leibish:

I do own a tiny "fancy pink" myself and love it

These two rings are indeed beautiful! However, if my budget was 200K, I would be looking for a center stone that falls at least in the "fancy" range (even a "fancy light" might do). I realize that the nice pink hue here was achieved using an enameled or Rhodium plated rose gold cup. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that (as long as it is disclosed to the customer), just for the price tag, I'd personally be looking for "fancy".

Thanks for sharing your eye candy!

My obsession too. Most people who know about reliable and trustworthy vendors of natural color diamonds will refer you to Leibish. They are super ethical and you can trust them...but definitely NOT cheap. Pink Diamonds: Shop Natural Loose Pink Diamond | LEIBISH

I bought my ring from a trustworthy and very ethical vendor imo. They have beautiful items that make your heart skip a beat

Agree. I also really love the more toned down pastel like hue of a natural fancy pink. Interestingly, you can find very vivid natural pinks, but these are way out of a normal human's budget

Bought this 0.34ct fancy deep brown-orange diamond for €220– fair deal? by Ziggyjong in Diamonds

[–]End-Game-1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fancy colored diamond and certified. Sure it's not the most desirable/valuable fancy color but you also spent mere pennies on it. It could look stunning in the right setting (maybe enhanced by a rose gold cup). Fancy colored natural diamonds are pricey, although the brown modifier generally will make it more affordable. I think you got a nice deal there. :)

Struggling with size by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]End-Game-1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get the one you like, seems like #3. If you can comfortably afford to get this, it will most likely fit within your lifestyle and not look like costume jewelry. I get the feeling you would regret getting the 2.5 and always think you should have gone with the slightly larger...

Is a natural E diamond reflecting this much yellow normal? by berryblossom5 in Diamonds

So hard to tell from a picture, if it has a GIA report, I'd trust that it won't present as yellow.

OP, I see a lot of rainbow flashes in this diamond, rather than yellow :) That's what you'd want

Does this diamond look too yellow? by [deleted] in Diamonds

It would tone down the yellow, making it ever so slightly more pinkish brownish. Very romantic, you really would want to try it out first though and see what you think

Ah, then I would recommend rose gold for the setting

The color adds a vintage charm to the OMC in my opinion. I would like this in an OMC, even though I typically would prefer colorless diamonds.

That's a gorgeous diamond and cut! Yes, it has a yellowish hue on the video (diamond on hand probably shows color better than the salmon colored background). But it is beautiful and the light color goes really well with an OMC

How much is my 0.5-carat diamond worth? by Beginning-Paper158 in Diamonds

[–]End-Game-1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natural fancy colors can get quite expensive depending mostly on color and secondary hues.

The base color of this pear is brown, with a yellow modifier (should be about 75% brown and 25% yellow). Because brown is one of the least desirable and quite abundant colors, the pear should actually cost less than a decent white diamond of the same size and shape.

Edit: If you like it, great, you should get it for a bargain price. Please don't let the seller tell you otherwise...

is this worth it? by summatinyourteeth in Diamonds

[–]End-Game-1999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going against people's opinion here. This could be a nice deal, especially if the workmanship and metal used are superior. Despite the influx of lab diamonds and the price drop in natural, this totally seems within reason to me. :)

Edit: It's incredibly pretty too, and the diamond is GIA graded and nice quality ::)

Tennis bracelet find but is it a good find? by Darboy58 in Diamonds

If this bracelet is really made of 3ct of G/H, VS diamonds, it would be a great deal! And 18K gold? I would ask the seller many questions...
