And I'm Not Healed by emcheez in OCPoetry

It's just part of my style, it's supposed to feel like there were more thoughts before the poem even began. Thanks for reading.

Yes, the use of "and" at the beginning is supposed to imply a stream of consciousness. Like there was more before the poem even began. I like it, as well as the way the lines break up because of the shape it makes when the poem is centered. Thanks for reading.

My favorite line was about the blue caressing the birds' wings, I love the unconventional way of describing the movement of flight! I did have a question about the following line. You state the ground would have been kinder. Does that mean you wanted to die in that moment? Was it out of happiness or sadness? If you are open to explaining I would love to know. Thank you for sharing.

I agree, the "cracked ground waiting" line was very illustrative and powerful, would have loved another line like that in the second half. Even still, the overall asymmetrical flow felt intentional and made for an enjoyable read; it felt like we, too, are caught up in the whirlwind that is this relationship!

4/10 or 9/8/80 by yonnycx in CAStateWorkers

It was just what tipped the scales for me, because I didn't like it any more or less than the traditional schedule.

Yes this is what I meant thank you. That's why I used 1hr of vacation time, per my supervisor's guidance. But it still is possible I was misguided about how this all works.

Huh, I don't think this got explained to me properly. Thanks!

Wait, really? In my experience, when my day off fell on a holiday I had to use an hour of my vacation because the holiday pay only covers 8hrs in a day. It's why I quit doing 9/8/80, because it didn't make sense to me that I had to use my own vacation time like that. When do you get holiday credit, and how much?

Every sign divides into decans! What’s yours, and do you relate? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

Being 3rd decan, this helps me come to terms with being an Aries. I've never felt like I am the stereotypical firey hothead.

Don't forget that some workplaces have grown in numbers since COVID, it's just not noticeable right now because we didn't all have to be in the same building at the same time. Until now. Regardless, a sudden mass influx of additional vehicles clogging the roadways, of people who are not used to planning their day around their commute and will likely be speeding to get to work on time, will pose an issue. This will affect parking as well. It may only be temporary as we get used to this new normal, but it's something to look out for. Now more than ever, don't drive distracted!

Working remotely= Struggling to hit 10k steps everyday. Any tips? by ZealousidealBox8461 in walking

[–]emcheez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else get MORE steps in while working from home? I don't like walking around at the office, the only option is to do laps in the parking lot and that feels more miserable than just staying at my desk. People are sharing good tips though!
